In-Situ and Laboratory Investigation on Leaching and Effects of Early Curing of Shotcrete

open access: yesNordic Concrete Research, 2019
During the construction of a rock tunnel in Stockholm, several sections with leaching shotcrete (sprayed concrete) were found one year after the spraying was completed. An investigation was therefore conducted, and its results are presented in this paper.

Dynamic Curing and Network Design in SIS Epidemic Processes [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2022
This paper studies efficient algorithms for dynamic curing policies and the corresponding network design problems to guarantee the fast extinction of epidemic spread in a susceptible-infected-susceptible (SIS) model. We consider a Markov process-based SIS epidemic model. We provide a computationally efficient curing algorithm based on the curing policy

FoxO1 signaling in B cell malignancies and its therapeutic targeting

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
FoxO1 has context‐specific tumor suppressor or oncogenic character in myeloid and B cell malignancies. This includes tumor‐promoting properties such as stemness maintenance and DNA damage tolerance in acute leukemias, or regulation of cell proliferation and survival, or migration in mature B cell malignancies.

Identification of the Combined Rheology of Mixtures of Epoxy Resins with Different Initial Curing States

open access: yesApplied Rheology, 2013
A commercial epoxy resin system was tested under several different mixing conditions with viscometer and rheometer apparatuses. In each test, two portions of the same resin, prepared at different times, were mixed and their joint behavior was analysed ...

Effect of Fiber Length on Curing and Mechanical Behavior of Pineapple Leaf Fiber (PALF) Reinforced Natural Rubber Composites

open access: yesJournal of Natural Fibers, 2022
The introduction of natural fibers as a filler into rubber matrix can be of relevance for their eco-friendly nature and sustainability. In particular, it is expected that natural fibers would assist the stiffening of rubber, which would in turn depend on

A Semi-parametric Promotion Time Cure Model with Support Vector Machine [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2023
The promotion time cure rate model (PCM) is an extensively studied model for the analysis of time-to-event data in the presence of a cured subgroup. There are several strategies proposed in the literature to model the latency part of PCM. However, there aren't many strategies proposed to investigate the effects of covariates on the incidence part of ...

Improved cure method for single component silicone rubber [PDF]

open access: yes, 1969
Water is incorporated in a carrier and then thoroughly mixed with the single component silicone rubber containing acetic anhydride as a curing agent.

Insights into PI3K/AKT signaling in B cell development and chronic lymphocytic leukemia

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
This Review explores how the phosphoinositide 3‐kinase and protein kinase B pathway shapes B cell development and drives chronic lymphocytic leukemia, a common blood cancer. It examines how signaling levels affect disease progression, addresses treatment challenges, and introduces novel experimental strategies to improve therapies and patient outcomes.

Numerical Prediction of Temperature Distribution in Transient RTM Process [PDF]

open access: yesIranian Journal of Chemistry & Chemical Engineering, 2004
Resin Transfer Molding (RTM) is a composite manufacturing process. A preformed fiber is placed in a closed mold and a viscous resin is injected into the mold.
