Vanilla- Its Science of Cultivation, Curing, Chemistry, and Nutraceutical Properties
Critical Reviews in Food Science and Nutrition, 2013Vanilla is a tropical orchid belonging to the family Orchidaceae and it is mainly used in food, perfumery, and pharmaceutical preparations. The quality of the bean depends on the volatile constituent's, viz., the vanillin content, the species of the vine used, and the processing conditions adopted.

The potential of Arum spp. as a cure for hemorrhoids: chemistry, bioactivities, and application
Advances in Traditional Medicine, 2020Hemorrhoids become pathological when swollen or inflamed. They can be very painful and occasionally cause serious anemia as they often break and hardly heal. Orthodox medicine usually treats hemorrhoids through surgery combined with medication containing the flavonoid diosmin.

The Chemistry of Phthalic Anhydride in Cure Retardation of Rubbers
Rubber Chemistry and Technology, 1976Abstract Since we found no appreciable reaction between phthalic anhydride and cis-polyisoprene at 140°C, it is very unlikely that the scorch delay resulting from the use of phthalic anhydride is due to the blocking of cure sites of diene rubbers by phthalic anhydride.

Functional group tolerance of AOTEMPO-mediated peroxide cure chemistry
Polymer, 2016Abstract Delayed onset formulations for the peroxide-initiated crosslinking of a range of commodity polymers are described. 4-Acryloyloxy-2,2,6,6,-tetramethylpiperidin-N-oxyl (AOTEMPO) is effective for controlling the crosslinking dynamics and yields of linear low density polyethylene (LLDPE), poly(ethylene-co-vinyl acetate) (EVA), poly(ethylene-co ...

Investigations into the cumene hydroperoxide-based cure chemistry of anaerobic adhesives
International Journal of Adhesion and Adhesives, 1997Abstract Anaerobic adhesives polymerise rapidly, by a free radical mechanisms, when confined between two closely fitting metal surfaces to form tough solvent and heat resistant material. Anaerobic adhesives are typically based on methacrylate monomers and are predominantly used for the sealing and retaining of metallic objects.

Chemistry, Characterization and Processing of IMC Curing Polymers. [PDF]
Abstract : A variety of methods for a low-cost synthesis of the IMC curable monomer, 2,2'-bis(phenyl-ethynyl)-4,4',5,5'-tetraaminobiphenyl, were explored without success. A low-cost route was found for the preparation of the IMC curable monomer, 2,2'-bis(phenylethynl)-5,5'-diaminobiphenyl.

Recent Developments in Radiation Curing Chemistry
1995Radiation curing has found a growing number of applications in recent years, because of the unique characteristics of this advanced technology—mainly its great speed, selective cure, and 100% solid formulation. The performances of some newly developed photoinitiators (PI) are briefly described in this survey on the chemistry of UV-curable systems. With

Surface chemistry of polycarbonate film and adhesion of ultraviolet-cured inks
Journal of Vacuum Science & Technology A: Vacuum, Surfaces, and Films, 1994One of the primary uses of polycarbonate film is in screen-printing applications, with ultraviolet (UV)-cured inks becoming increasingly popular due to environmental concerns. During multicolor printing operations, regions of the polycarbonate film surface are unavoidably exposed to UV irradiation during the cure of adjacent regions.

Effect of the epoxy resin chemistry on the viscoelasticity of its cured product
Journal of Applied Polymer Science, 2008AbstractA detailed study investigating the relation between the initial resin composition and mixing ratio on the viscoelastic behavior was performed. The resin system, containing a difunctional aromatic epoxy (DER 332), was mixed with three aliphatic amines containing functionalities of 2, 3, and 4 in different stoichiometric mixing ratios and was ...

Formation of organic indoor air pollutants by UV-curing chemistry
Journal of Photochemistry and Photobiology A: Chemistry, 2002UV-curable systems for manufacturing of furniture and parquet form a major and growing field in radiation curing. Numerous types and combinations of photoinitiators have been developed for crosslinking of acrylated systems and unsaturated polyesters. The properties of the photoinitiators being used in these materials must fulfill requirements like low ...
