Intelligent Automated Cure Processing of Polyimides

MRS Proceedings, 1993
AbstractAn intelligent, closed-loop expert system has been developed for the widely used high performance polyimide PMR-15. This expert system has been used for intelligent, automated sensor/model control of the fabrication of flat panels in both the autoclave and the thermal press. Panels have been made, ranging in thickness from less than 1/8 inch to

Characterization of Epoxy Prepreg Curing Process

The Journal of Adhesion, 2006
ABSTRACT The isothermal and dynamic curing process of epoxy composite was studied using differential scanning calorimetry (DSC), thermal gravimetric analysis (TGA), and other techniques. The variation of degree of curing with time and temperature was analyzed.

STUDY ON CURING KINETICS AND CURING PROCESS OF CF/BPR COMPOSITE

2017
The heating rate had the effect on the compressive strength of CF/BPR and should be considered during the conventional heating curing process of CF/BPR. With increasing heating rate during the curing process, the micro-cracks increased and the compressive strength of CF/BPR decreased.

Calculation of Cure Process Variables During Cure of Graphite/Epoxy Composites

1983
A model is presented that relates the cure cycle (cure temperature, cure pressure, cure time) to the local temperature, viscosity, degree of cure of the resin, and resin flow perpendicular to the fibers. The results of the model are applicable to the curing process for epoxy matrix composites.

The Process and Product of Cure

Transactional Analysis Journal, 1980
Curative psychotherapy involves both a process and a product. In preparing for this journal article, I decided to ask some of my “cured” patients what they believed had contributed to their successf...

Curing Processes of Acetylene Terminated Resins

1986
Acetylene terminated resins are a new class of thermoset resin, which can be cured through a thermally induced, radical initiated addition reaction. The combined features of curing without evolution of volatiles, good thermal stability and moisture resistance of the reaction products make the acetylene terminated resin technology an attractive means to

Cure: The Process and Its Measurement

2012
AMONG THE MOST CRITICAL AND OFTEN MIS-understood properties of a coating are cure and the measurement of cure. If ASTM standard technology [1] is examined, one will find no listing for the word “cure.” Cure is something that can have different meanings for different people.
