Value of MRI Outcomes for Preventive and Early‐Stage Trials in Spinocerebellar Ataxias 1 and 3
ABSTRACT Objective To examine the value of MRI outcomes as endpoints for preventive and early‐stage trials of two polyglutamine spinocerebellar ataxias (SCAs). Methods A cohort of 100 participants (23 SCA1, 63 SCA3, median Scale for the Assessment and Rating of Ataxia (SARA) score = 5, 42% preataxic, and 14 gene‐negative controls) was scanned at 3T up ...

Visualizing curing process inside polymers
Applied Physics Letters, 2020The curing process of polymer materials and structures has a crucial influence on their final properties. However, existing methods are only capable of characterizing their time-resolved information. To comprehensively reveal curing behaviors inside polymers, we report a method that combines optical coherence tomography and quantitative phase imaging ...

Molding sand hardening in these technologies occurs as a result of warming of sand and resin mixture, or more often by contact of this mixture with warmed pattern system. All processes of this type assure good dimensional accuracy, provided that good-quality patterns (metal), which can be very expensive, are used.
