Foram realizadas 15 expedições ao Parque Barguí, Curitiba (Paraná), no período de abril de 1991 a setembro de 1992, quando aplicaram-se métodos convencionais de levantamentos ornitológicos de campo. Registraram-se 90 espécies de aves, das quais, 63,3% frequentam a floresta, 30% ambientes abertos de 25,5% o lago.
