Behavioral responses of adult female tobacco hornworms, Manduca sexta, to hostplant volatiles change with age and mating status

We present evidence for two behaviors influenced by intact, vegetative plant odor -- upwind flight and abdomen curling -- in female Manduca sexta and demonstrate the influence of the age and mating status of the moths on these behaviors.

Breaking the Toughness‐Stretchability Trade‐Off in Hydrogels with Dynamic Hydrogen Bonding

A novel nanocomposite hydrogel architecture overcomes the inherent conflict between toughness and stretchability by integrating uniformly dispersed aminopropyl‐hybrid‐phyllosilicate nanosheets within a polyacrylamide matrix. Realization of a Bilayer Elastic Topological Insulator

Stimulus‐Induced Self‐Reinforcement in Supramolecular Bamboo Plastics toward Mechanical Robustness and Programmable Shapeability

A self‐reinforcement strategy is reported for the fabrication of bamboo plastics utilizing ethanol to induce the supramolecular network reconstruction of cellulose and polyacrylamide molecules. These bamboo plastics exhibit high mechanical strength, excellent thermal stability, resistance to low temperatures, and controllable shapeability.
