Current Mode Control

1997
As pointed out in Chapter 6, the conventional PWM converters are in essence feedback control systems and can therefore be treated accordingly with the available analytical tools, provided some additional steps are taken. The major theme of these types of treatments center, in almost all cases, around two performance merits: output voltage DC regulation

Digital Current Mode Control

2006
In this chapter we begin the discussion of digital control techniques for switching power converters. In the previous chapter, we have introduced the topology and operation of the half-bridge VSI and designed an analog PI current controller for this switching converter.

Current-Mode Wheatstone Bridge

2018
Current chapter deals with Wheatstone Bridges with the focus on Current-Mode Wheatstone Bridge and its associated signal conditioning circuits. The operation, advantages and drawbacks of each circuit are discussed in detail. To make the comparison between traditional Voltage-Mode Wheatstone Bridge and Current-Mode Wheatstone Bridge more convenient, at ...

3V high-frequency current-mode filters

1993 IEEE International Symposium on Circuits and Systems, 2002
A fully differential current mode integrator circuit and its cascode variants are presented for use in low voltage, high frequency signal processing applications. It is shown that good linearity is achieved with signal levels up to the current bias, the equivalent of voltage mode rail-to-rail operation.

The current-mode muddle

AEU - International Journal of Electronics and Communications, 2018
Abstract With the arrival of monolithic processes for the fabrication of bipolar transistors during the mid-1960s, it seemed like a good time to examine new paradigms for design. Current-mode (CM) was attractive because it suggested that small voltages swings could be used to process analog signals represented as currents; whatever voltages that did ...

Current‐mode programmable piecewise‐linear neural synapses

International Journal of Circuit Theory and Applications, 2003
AbstractCellular Neural Networks with piecewise linear connection have been proposed by several authors as a generalization of the basic paradigm, which allows for more complex functionality. None of the prototypes realized to date, however, provides for such kind of synapses.

A PLL-based current-mode PWM circuit suitable for current-mode controlled techniques

2008 9th International Conference on Solid-State and Integrated-Circuit Technology, 2008
A wide-range current-mode pulse-width modulation circuit for current-mode controlled techniques is presented in this paper. The proposed circuit has been designed and implemented using 0.35-?m CMOS 2P4M process. The core die size is around 95×115 ?m2 . The experimental results show that the variation of the output frequency within ±0.25%.

Current Mode Pipelined a/d Converter

2005 12th IEEE International Conference on Electronics, Circuits and Systems, 2005
This paper presents a high speed and a high resolution pipelined a/d converter relying on a current mode technique. The a/d converter structure is composed of current mode building blocks. All building blocks have been designed in CMOS AMS 0.8 mum technology, then simulated and measured to verify proposed concept.

Current-mode analogue median filter

ICECS'99. Proceedings of ICECS '99. 6th IEEE International Conference on Electronics, Circuits and Systems (Cat. No.99EX357), 2003
Median filters are very important nonlinear filters, finding many applications in image and speech processing. In recent years analogue implementation of nonlinear filters has gained new interest. In this work, a novel current-mode analogue median filter is proposed.
