Abstract Considering the space‐time adaptive method for parabolic evolution equations we introduced in Stevenson et al., this work discusses an implementation of the method in which every step is of linear complexity. Exploiting the tensor‐product structure of the space‐time cylinder, the method allows for a family of trial spaces given as spans of ...

On the Density–Density Correlations of the Non‐Interacting Finite Temperature Electron Gas
ABSTRACT The density–density correlations of the non‐interacting finite temperature electron gas are discussed in detail. Starting from the ideal linear density response function and utilizing general relations from linear response theory, known and novel expressions are derived for the pair correlation function, static structure factor, dynamic ...

Abstract Edge‐based and face‐based smoothed finite element methods (ES‐FEM and FS‐FEM, respectively) are modified versions of the finite element method allowing to achieve more accurate results and to reduce sensitivity to mesh distortion, at least for linear elements. These properties make the two methods very attractive. However, their implementation

Short Wavelength Limit of the Dynamic Matsubara Local Field Correction
ABSTRACT We investigate the short wavelength limit of the dynamic Matsubara local field correction G˜q,zl$$ \tilde{G}\left(\mathbf{q},{z}_l\right) $$ of the uniform electron gas based on direct ab initio path integral Monte Carlo (PIMC) results over an unprecedented range of wavenumbers, q≲20qF$$ q\lesssim 20{q}_{\mathrm{F}} $$, where qF$$ {q}_{\mathrm{

Efficient formulation of a two‐noded geometrically exact curved beam element
Abstract The article extends the formulation of a 2D geometrically exact beam element proposed by Jirásek et al. (2021) to curved elastic beams. This formulation is based on equilibrium equations in their integrated form, combined with the kinematic relations and sectional equations that link the internal forces to sectional deformation variables.

Comment on “The N=3 Weyl multiplet in four dimensions”
N=3 Weyl multiplet in four dimensions was first constructed in J. van Muiden et al. (2017) where the authors used the current multiplet approach to obtain the linearized transformation rules and completed the non-linear variations using the ...
