High current liquid metal collectors
Wear, 1982Abstract Acyclic machines require the transfer of very high d.c. currents from stationary to rotating contacts at low (5–300 V) voltages. A development program was undertaken to study new collector concepts for high current collector applications. A new “narrow-gap” liquid metal collector was developed, analyzed and tested in the laboratory. Several

Asymmetry of Collector Currents
Physical Review, 1934The two unsymmetrical components of current to a collector in mercury vapor were separarely measured from the anode and the cathode directions. A collector taking current from both directions would receive the approximate sum of these unsymmetrical components.

Current Collector Material Selection for Supercapacitors
2021The supercapacitor is a step-up device in the field of energy storage and has a lot of research and development scope in terms of design, its parts fabrication, and energy storage mechanism. The main function of the current collector is to collect and conduct electric current from electrodes to power sources.

MXene‐Based Current Collectors for Advanced Rechargeable Batteries
Advanced Materials, 2023AbstractAs an indispensable component of rechargeable batteries, the current collector plays a crucial role in supporting the electrode materials and collecting the accumulated electrical energy. However, some key issues, like uneven resources, high weight percentage, electrolytic corrosion, and high‐voltage instability, cannot meet the growing need ...

The dependence of collector capacitance on collector current
Proceedings of the IEEE, 1967The recently reported negative derivative with respect to collector current of the collector capacitance of an integrated-circuit transistor can be explained by the effect of free charge carriers in the collector depletion layer. The current-capacitance relationship is expressed for both diffused-and alloyed-collector transistors.

Low frequency noise in collector current
Proceedings of 1995 Japan International Electronic Manufacturing Technology Symposium, 2002In order to reduce the low frequency excess noise in transistors, the effect of diffusion coefficient fluctuation in the neutral base region is analyzed. The space-charge effect and mobility fluctuation in the collector space-charge region are also taken into account for collector current noise analysis.

Nanocarbon Current Collectors for Aqueous Batteries
ECS Meeting Abstracts, 2017Carbon materials are a promising alternative to metal current collectors that are currently used in aqueous batteries, because of their light weight, high electrical conductivity, and promising corrosion resistance. In this report, we investigate the corrosion resistance of multiple flexible and robust nanocarbon current collectors (NCCCs) for ...

High collector current in epitaxial transistors
1971 International Electron Devices Meeting, 1971In this paper we unify the treatment of high current in the collector region of epitaxial transistors. New results yielded by this unification include: a) specification of the conditions that determine the predominant mechanism controlling the degradation of β and f T .

Advanced 3D Current Collectors for Lithium‐Based Batteries
Advanced Materials, 2018AbstractLi‐based batteries are a hot research topic because they are the most popular energy storage system for high energy‐density devices. As an important component of the battery, the current collectors in both cathode and anode should be well designed.

Analytical base-collector heterojunction capacitance model including collector current effects
Journal of Applied Physics, 1989The base-collector heterojunction space-charge-region capacitance of double heterojunction bipolar transistors is treated. This capacitance cannot be modeled as the conventional heterojunction depletion capacitance because it is heavily influenced by the collector current, which is neglected in the depletion capacitance model.
