Effect of nonlinear collector capacitance on collector current rise time

IRE Transactions on Electron Devices, 1956
The collector capacity, C, of a junction transistor is known to vary as a nonlinear function of the voltage, V, across it. A calculation is made of the collector current rise time of a grounded emitter alloy junction transistor for which C = kV-1/2.

Collector capacitance versus collector current for a double-diffused transistor

Proceedings of the IEEE, 1969
Collector junction capacitance is computed for a diffused reverse-biased collector junction in the presence of a limited velocity electron current. Two cases are considered--constant collector background doping and a heavily doped subcollector background.

Current collectors for trolley cars

1958
Current collection always operates with sliding contacts, even the wheel trolley does; it slides considerably on the wire. The reason of introducing the wheel was, of course, the hope of less wear, which, however, was not gained. Actually the wire usually wears a few times more when the counter contact is a metallic wheel than in the case of a carbon ...

Current Collectors for Rechargeable Li-Air Batteries

Journal of The Electrochemical Society, 2011
Here we report the negative influence of porous nickel foam for use as current collectors in rechargeable Li-air batteries. Uncoated nickel foam promotes the decomposition of LiPF6-organic carbonate electrolytes under normal charging conditions reported for rechargeable Li-air cells.

Designing Current Collectors to Stabilize Li Metal Anodes

Advanced Materials
AbstractRechargeable batteries employing Li metal anodes have gained increasing attention due to their high energy density. Nevertheless, low stability and reversibility of Li metal anodes severely impeded their practical applications. Designing current collectors (CCs) with reasonable structure and composition is an efficient approach to stabilizing ...
