Current source is modified into a current conveyor
IEEE Circuits and Devices Magazine, 1997The author shows theoretically using a matrix representation of the small-signal response that a bipolar transistor circuit usually used as a current source can be modified to form a second-generation current conveyor. This element is useful in synthesis of active filters and high-speed amplifiers.

IEEE Transactions on Circuits and Systems I: Fundamental Theory and Applications, 1994Designs for a current amplifier and a current conveyor, both based on the first generation current conveyor, are discussed. Circuit details are given and simulation results shown. The results indicate that the current amplifier can achieve a 200 MHz bandwidth, and the CCI a 90 MHz bandwidth, in standard bipolar technologies. >
