Non-Harmonic Alternating Currents
Transactions of the American Institute of Electrical Engineers, 1927Certain principles are presented for solving non-harmonic a-c. problems. Graphical methods are already well known for solving practically any problem, when currents and electromotive forces are sinusoidal, by vector diagrams in a plane. In certain special cases such diagrams give correct results when currents and electromotive forces are non-sinusoidal,

Reducing Supply Current Harmonics
IEEE Industry Applications Magazine, 1998In this article, a simple and effective method for reducing the supply current harmonics has been proposed for a parallel connected 12-pulse thyristor converter with an interphase reactor. The proposed method requires only an interphase reactor with an optimal inductance value being much smaller than conventional inductance values, without any ...

Circulating current control is one of the critical issues in modular multilevel converters (MMCs). When a frequency-droop-regulated MMC is used to integrate an offshore wind farm into an high-voltage dc transmission system, the variation in its operating

Harmonic reduction in thyristor converters by harmonic current injection
IEEE Transactions on Power Apparatus and Systems, 1976The paper describes analytical and experimental results for a new method of current harmonic reduction in thyristor converters. The principle of the method is to modify the current waveforms on the d.c. windings of the converter transformer by injecting harmonic currents at a particular frequency.

Research on Return Traction Current Harmonics
International Conference on Embedded and Multimedia Computing, 2020The diagnostic tool of code current parameters and return traction current interferences is proposed. This apparatuses allows to analyze the spectrum and the value of interferences in the track circuits and to determine their sources.

Superposition of current and voltage harmonics
2018 ELEKTRO, 2018This paper deals with power quality that is aimed on voltage and current harmonics. The analysis describes the household appliances producing the harmonic interference, because they consist of semiconductor components. The next reason is that a large number of household appliances are operated in the same time.

Harmonic analysis of current waveforms using optical current sensor
IEEE Transactions on Instrumentation and Measurement, 2002This paper reports on the research and development of an optical current sensor for harmonic analysis within the electricity supply network. The device has a measurement capability, limited by the sampling frequency of the analog-to-digital converter, to around 20 kHz. We report on experimental verification of these measurements up to the 60th harmonic

Design and Analysis of Hybrid Active Power Filter for Current Harmonics Mitigation
IEEE India Conference, 2019This paper focuses on modelling, designing and simulation of a cost effective hybrid filter for compensation of current harmonics from source current. The presented hybrid filter consists of two single tuned passive power filter tuned to the 5th and 7th ...
