Proceedings of the 1978 IEEE First Working Conference on Current Measurement, 2005
The dynamics of mixed layers and the variability of coastal current systems are two important problems that require the measurement of near-surface currents. Near the surface, the wave field generates currents of higher frequency than the current field of interest, leading to the requirements for a current meter which properly averages motion at ...

Magnetooptical current transformer 3: Measurements
Applied Optics, 1980A laboratory setup of a magnetooptical current transformer was established. A ingle-mode fiber acts as both a measuring sensor and a transmission line. The overall measurement accuracy at room temperature within a primary current range 50-1200 A is better than 0.24%, the SNR at 1000 A is 85 dB.

Abstract This chapter presents techniques for critical-current-data acquisition. Firstly it describes the principal ways of defining critical-current density (which can lead to vastly different values). It then offers suggestions of where to put your money when assembling a quality instrumentation system.

The Measurement of Body Currents
Transactions of the American Institute of Electrical Engineers, 1941IN these days of supersensitive amplifiers and recording apparatus, it is very tempting to define life and death in terms of electrical activity. Whether or not this concept is accurate, we can, on present knowledge liken living tissue to a B-battery and dead tissue to a burned out generator. The function of living tissue, however, is so closely allied

Current techniques for measuring motion
Applied Ergonomics, 1984The sports scientist and the ergonomist, although sharing a common disciplinary background, pursue fundamentally different goals. The patterns of approach to the analysis of movement they adopt are, nevertheless, similar and a model of this approach is presented.
