The current-mode muddle

AEU - International Journal of Electronics and Communications, 2018
Abstract With the arrival of monolithic processes for the fabrication of bipolar transistors during the mid-1960s, it seemed like a good time to examine new paradigms for design. Current-mode (CM) was attractive because it suggested that small voltages swings could be used to process analog signals represented as currents; whatever voltages that did ...

Current-mode multiphase oscillator using current followers

Microelectronics Journal, 1994
Abstract A multiphase current-mode oscillator circuit is presented. The oscillator can produce N currents equal in amplitude and equally spaced in phase. The circuit uses two current followers for each phase. Simulation results are included.

Current-Mode Instrumentation Amplifiers Using Current Conveyors

2018
In this chapter, various CMIA topologies built upon current conveyors are discussed. Based on operation, we categorize them in two groups of basic and enhanced topologies. The basic category includes the CMIA proposed by Wilson and its advanced version proposed by Gift.

Current-mode Filter Design Using Current Conveyors

2003
In this chapter, current-mode filter design using CCs is described in detail. These structures may use one or more CCs. The versatility, sensitivity, number of active elements used, and cascadability are the criteria used to evaluate and select a particular structure for a given application.
