A current-mode CMOS fuzzy logic controller

International Journal of Automation and Control, 2008
In this paper, design and simulation of a current-mode CMOS Fuzzy Logic Controller (FLC) is presented. The proposed controller is composed of Membership Function Circuit (MFC), fuzzy inference engine with min-product method and current-mode defuzzification circuit.

Digital Current Mode Control

2006
In this chapter we begin the discussion of digital control techniques for switching power converters. In the previous chapter, we have introduced the topology and operation of the half-bridge VSI and designed an analog PI current controller for this switching converter.

Current-sensing technique for current-mode controlled voltage regulator modules

Microelectronics Journal, 2008
This paper introduces an innovative current-sense technique for voltage regulator modules (VRMs). The proposed method is applied to a multiphase buck converter although the converter topology does not affect the accuracy or effectiveness of the proposed technique.

Digitally Controlled Current Mode Universal Filter

2007 International Symposium on Integrated Circuits, 2007
A new electronically tunable biquad filter structure employing three current controlled conveyors and two grounded capacitors is presented. The proposed filter offers the following advantageous features: low input impedance and high output impedance-a desirable property of current mode filters, realization of low pass, band pass, high pass, notch, low ...

Current mode control of switching regulators

Radio and Electronic Engineer, 1984
By adapting the forward converter range of switching regulators to include an additional current-controlled feedback loop, derived from either the secondary or primary power circuit, an improvement in the closed-loop performance of the switching regulator can be obtained.

Predictive Digital Sliding-Mode Current Control

2007 IEEE International Symposium on Industrial Electronics, 2007
In this paper we present a digital sliding-mode control for current regulation of power switching converters. Quasi-sliding characteristics of discrete-time sliding control are minimized by means a predictive strategy, that avoids continuous sampling action of inductor current. This predictive control strategy doesn't need a previous knowledge of power

Digitally controlled current-mode quadrature oscillator

2017 International Semiconductor Conference (CAS), 2017
A digitally controlled current-mode quadrature oscillator (DCC-MQO) is proposed. The circuit consist of four cascaded log-domain first order low-pass filter and a digitally programmable current division network. The lossy log-domain integrator gain and time constant can be adjusted using the bias currents of the logarithmic and exponential building ...

Robust control of multimodule current-mode controlled converters

IEEE Transactions on Power Electronics, 1993
A robust controller for multimodule current-mode push-pull converters is presented. First, the small-signal equivalent circuit and the transfer function model of the multimodule converter system are obtained. Then, the selection of slope compensation and the model reduction are performed using the concept of dominant energy mode.

Current-controlled current-mode multiphase oscillator using CCCDTAs

2011 IEEE Symposium on Computers & Informatics, 2011
This paper presents a new current-controlled current-mode multiphase sinusoidal oscillator using current controlled current differencing transconductance amplifiers (CCCDTAs). The proposed oscillator circuit, which employs one CCCDTA, one grounded capacitor and one MOS resistor for each phase, can generate arbitrary n output current equal-amplitude ...

Combined lossless current sensing for current mode control

Nineteenth Annual IEEE Applied Power Electronics Conference and Exposition, 2004. APEC '04., 2004
In this paper, we provide basic time domain analysis of the combined lossless current sensing scheme. When applied to current mode control, it is noted that the selection of the RC current sensing components is not limited by the matching condition. For reliable steady state operation, the choice of the RC components may be accommodated for better SNR ...
