We quantified and cultured circulating tumor cells (CTCs) of 62 patients with various cancer types and generated CTC‐derived tumoroid models from two salivary gland cancer patients. Cellular liquid biopsy‐derived information enabled molecular genetic assessment of systemic disease heterogeneity and functional testing for therapy selection in both ...

Genomic landscape and preclinical models of angiosarcoma
Angiosarcomas are a rare and aggressive cancer with a poor prognosis for patients. The genomic landscape of angiosarcoma can be highly complex and heterogenous; however, recent studies have identified some common features especially within anatomic and molecular subgroups.

Combinatorial approximation of maximum $k$-vertex cover in bipartite graphs within ratio~0.7 [PDF]
We propose a \textit{purely combinatorial algorithm} for \mkvc{} in bipartite graphs, achieving approximation ratio~0.7. The only combinatorial algorithms currently known until now for this problem are the natural greedy algorithm, that achieves ratio 0.632, and an easy~$2/3$-approximation algorithm presented in \cite{DBLP:journals/corr/BonnetEPS14}.

The authors analyzed the spatial distributions of gene and metabolite profiles in cervical cancer through spatial transcriptomic and spatially resolved metabolomic techniques. Pivotal genes and metabolites within these cases were then identified and validated.

Effects of interface electric field on the magnetoresistance in spin device
An extension of the standard spin diffusion theory is presented by introducing a density-gradient (DG) term that is suitable for describing interface quantum tunneling phenomena.

Improved Spanning Ratio for Low Degree Plane Spanners [PDF]
We describe an algorithm that builds a plane spanner with a maximum degree of 8 and a spanning ratio of approximately 4.414 with respect to the complete graph. This is the best currently known spanning ratio for a plane spanner with a maximum degree of less than 14.

The authors applied joint/mixed models that predict mortality of trifluridine/tipiracil‐treated metastatic colorectal cancer patients based on circulating tumor DNA (ctDNA) trajectories. Patients at high risk of death could be spared aggressive therapy with the prospect of a higher quality of life in their remaining lifetime, whereas patients with a ...
