A multistage technique for current transformers with current ratios of less than unity
2008 Conference on Precision Electromagnetic Measurements Digest, 2008An overview of the development and performance of a current transformer with current ratios of less than unity at the National Research Council of Canada (NRC) is described. A prototype current transformer with a current ratio of 0.025A/1A that can be operated at up to at least ten times the rated current (secondary current up to ges 10 A), with ratio ...

Electrical field affected by current decrement ratio at base current
2014 IEEE 41st International Conference on Plasma Sciences (ICOPS) held with 2014 IEEE International Conference on High-Power Particle Beams (BEAMS), 2014Recently, the stable supply of electric power is indispensable in a power generation, and a transmission and distribution system of electric power. Therefore, many researchers have researched abnormal phenomenon of power system which is obstacle to the power transmission and distribution.

Primary high-current testing of relays with low ratio current transformers
Conference Record of 2004 Annual Pulp and Paper Industry Technical Conference (IEEE Cat. No.04CH37523), 2004This paper will serve as one of few references describing primary high-current testing of protective relays using low ratio current transformers. The tests show the limitations of Fourier and cosine filters used in microprocessor relays that extract the fundamental phasors and eliminate harmonics.

A current comparator for the precision measurement of D-C ratios
Electrical Engineering, 1963A magnetic d-c ratio device has been developed that is capable of attaining accuracies approaching 1 part per million. The operating characteristics and some of the design problems are discussed, and construction details of an experimental model, rated at 4,000 ampere-turns and capable of handling ratios up to 400 to 1, are given.

Selfcalibrated primary alternative current ratio standard
2012 Conference on Precision electromagnetic Measurements, 2012Primary alternative current ratio standard, including 3 standard current transformers and precise comparator, used for comparison of the standard current transformers and for their selfcalibration is described. The results of the intercomparison of the intercomparison of the created standard with Russian Federation one are given.

A simple monolithic current-gain cell for large current ratios
International Journal of Electronics, 1980A simple current-gain circuit is presented which generates large temperature insensitive current ratios accurately defined by small ratios of resistance and device area. Precision better than 1% and 100 ppm/°C is obtained in practice. A gain-bandwidth product of 1 GHz has been measured.

Log-ratio current for beam position monitoring
Conference Record of the 1991 IEEE Particle Accelerator Conference, 2002The logarithmic ratio of the signal amplitudes from beam-position probe-electrodes provides a normalized real-time analog signal that is more linear in beam displacement than other signal-processing techniques for circular cross-section, beam-position monitors.

The ratio error of the overlapped-tube cryogenic current comparator
IEEE Transactions on Instrumentation and Measurement, 1990Analytic expressions for the ratio uncertainty of the overlapped-tube cryogenic current comparator are derived for dimensioning the overlapped-tube comparator. Theoretical predictions agree reasonably well with experimental observations by H. Ramin (Arch. Elektrotech., vol.58, p.53, 1976).

A Self-Balancing Device for the Measurement of Ionization Current Ratios
The British Journal of Radiology, 1955The accuracy of many ionization measurements on X-ray machines is limited by the inherent fluctuations, with time, of the output from X-ray generators. To overcome this difficulty, Kemp (1945, 1946) developed a very ingenious device which measures the ratio of two integrated dosage rates obtained from two condenser-type chambers in a common X-ray beam.
