Review of Thermally Activated Twisted Coiled Polymer Actuators: A Materials Science Perspective

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Thermally activated twisted and coiled polymer actuators (TCPAs) combine lightweight design, large deformation, and scalable fabrication for soft robotic and wearable applications. This review connects polymer structure, processing history, helix geometry, and thermomechanical characterization to actuator performance, highlighting current challenges in

Perfect fluid spacetimes with harmonic generalized curvature tensor [PDF]

open access: yes, 2019
We show that n-dimensional perfect fluid spacetimes with divergence-free conformal curva- ture tensor and constant scalar curvature are generalized Robertson Walker (GRW) spacetimes; as a consequence a perfect fluid Yang pure space is a GRW spacetime. We

Structure‐Guided Dynamical Mechanics in Bioinspired Double Twisted Laminated Thin Films

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This work explores a dynamic mechanistic study of crack propagation and puncture testing via real‐time monitoring of crack initiation, propagation, and termination through nature‐inspired single and double twisted architectures fabricated from cellulose nanocrystals.

Giant Magnetic Coercivity Driven by Spin‐Bag Ferromagnetism in Epitaxial Sr3YCo4O10+δ Films with Engineered 2D Oxygen Vacancy Ordering

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A giant magnetic coercivity and a vertical shift of hysteresis loops are demonstrated in Sr3YCo4O10+δ epitaxial films. The hard magnetic behavior originates from ferromagnetic spin bags stabilized within a long‐range ordered oxygen‐vacancy structure.

Harmonic-hyperbolic geometric flow

open access: yesElectronic Journal of Differential Equations, 2017
In this article we study a coupled system for hyperbolic geometric flow on a closed manifold M, with a harmonic flow map from M to some closed target manifold N. Then we show that this flow has a unique solution for a short-time.

Analogues of torsion-free and curvature-free connections with a torsion non-tensor and a curvature non-tensor

open access: yesДифференциальная геометрия многообразий фигур
The paper is devoted to affine connection in the frame bundle associated with a manifold which structure equations and derivation formulas are constructed using deformations of the exterior and ordinary differentials.

Microscopic Origin of Temperature‐Dependent Anisotropic Heat Transport in Ultrawide‐Bandgap Rutile GeO2

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Rutile GeO2${\rm GeO}_{2}$ exhibits orientation‐dependent heat transport with temperature‐dependent anisotropy, showing higher cross‐plane thermal conductivity along [001] than along the equivalent in‐plane [100] and [010] directions. Temperature‐dependent TDTR measurements and first‐principles phonon calculations identify the microscopic phonon ...

Understanding Geodesics and Curvature Tensor using SageMath

open access: yes, 2022
The curvature tensor of 4-dimensional spacetime, which appears in general relativity, is difficult to understand because it is a complex tensor with four subscripts. Since it is impossible to visualize geodesics and curvatures in 4-dimensional spacetime,
