Functionals depending on curvatures with constraints

open access: yes, 2000
We deal with a family of functionals depending on curvatures and we prove for them compactness and semicontinuity properties in the class of closed and bounded sets which satisfy a uniform exterior and interior sphere condition.

Adenosine‐to‐inosine editing of miR‐200b‐3p is associated with the progression of high‐grade serous ovarian cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
A‐to‐I editing of miRNAs, particularly miR‐200b‐3p, contributes to HGSOC progression by enhancing cancer cell proliferation, migration and 3D growth. The edited form is linked to poorer patient survival and the identification of novel molecular targets.

The influence of elongation exercises on the anterior-posterior spine curvatures

open access: yesBiomedical Human Kinetics, 2014
Introduction: Elongation exercises are designed to reduce existing pathological or increased physiological curvatures of the spine. The aim of the study was to evaluate the changes occurring in the parameters describing the anterior-posterior spinal ...

YAP1::TFE3 mediates endothelial‐to‐mesenchymal plasticity in epithelioid hemangioendothelioma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The YAP1::TFE3 fusion protein drives endothelial‐to‐mesenchymal transition (EndMT) plasticity, resulting in the loss of endothelial characteristics and gain of mesenchymal‐like properties, including resistance to anoikis, increased migratory capacity, and loss of contact growth inhibition in endothelial cells.

Emerging role of ARHGAP29 in melanoma cell phenotype switching

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study gives first insights into the role of ARHGAP29 in malignant melanoma. ARHGAP29 was revealed to be connected to tumor cell plasticity, promoting a mesenchymal‐like, invasive phenotype and driving tumor progression. Further, it modulates cell spreading by influencing RhoA/ROCK signaling and affects SMAD2 activity. Rho GTPase‐activating protein

Combinatorial pth Calabi flows for total geodesic curvatures in spherical background geometry

open access: yesAdvances in Nonlinear Analysis
The concept of combinatorial pth Calabi flow is proposed for finding circle packing metrics with prescribed curvatures. It has been studied under the Euclidean and hyperbolic background geometries.

Gut microbiota diversity is prognostic in metastatic hormone receptor‐positive breast cancer patients receiving chemotherapy and immunotherapy

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
In this exploratory study, we investigated the relationship between the gut microbiota and outcome in patients with metastatic hormone receptor‐positive breast cancer, treated in a randomized clinical trial with chemotherapy alone or chemotherapy in combination with immune checkpoint blockade.

Comparative evaluation of curvature severity of mesiobuccal canals in permanent maxillary 1st molar using multiple complexity risk criteria: A cone-beam computed tomography-based cross-sectional study of central Indian subpopulation

open access: yesEndodontology
Aim: The study is aimed to evaluate the curvature severity in Mesiobuccal (MB) canals of permanent maxillary 1st molars along sagittal and coronal planes using cone-beam computed tomography in a Central Indian subpopulation.
