Sustained Therapeutic Efficacy of Intravenous Plasminogen Concentrate in Pediatric Patients With Type 1 Plasminogen Deficiency: An Analysis of Dosing Parameters and Clinical Outcomes

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Type 1 plasminogen deficiency (PLGD‐1) is an ultra‐rare autosomal recessive disorder caused by variants in the PLG gene and affects approximately 1.6 individuals per million. The condition is characterized by decreased plasminogen levels and impaired function, resulting in fibrin‐rich lesions on mucous membranes throughout the body.

On the Number of Incidences Between Points and Curves

open access: yesCombinatorics, Probability and Computing, 1998
We apply an idea of Székely to prove a general upper bound on the number of incidences between a set of m points and a set of n ‘well-behaved’ curves in the plane.

Personalized Zebrafish Models for Fusion‐Positive Pediatric Sarcomas

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Clinical sequencing efforts have revolutionized our approaches to categorizing pediatric cancers in real time. This has dramatically improved our ability to profile pediatric tumors, identify actionable vulnerabilities, and influence clinical care.

Soil and Water Assessment Tool (SWAT) model for hydrological response analysis in the Gajahwong subwatershed, Yogyakarta, Indonesia

open access: yesJournal of Degraded and Mining Lands Management
Hydrological response is a specific reaction of a watershed to rainfall, and one form is surface runoff, which can be influenced by climatic and physiographic factors.

Assessing the runoff retention of extensive green roofs using runoff coefficients and curve numbers and the impacts of substrate moisture

open access: yesHydrology Research, 2020
In this study, rainfall-runoff data of four green roofs with varying structural configurations under dry and wet substrates were analyzed to acquire the effective estimation for Runoff Coefficient (Cv) and Curve Number (CN) parameters.

Leukemia and Exposure to Potential Benzene Sources in Children From the Mexico City Metropolitan Area, 2010–2021: A Geospatial Analysis

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Leukemia is the most common childhood cancer in Mexico, and acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) is the most frequent subtype. Exposure to high concentrations of benzene has been associated with ALL incidence, particularly in urban areas. This study evaluated the relationship between distance to benzene emission sources and the number

Estimation of Runoff Peak Flow by El-Hames Empirical Method for Ungauged Catchments: A Case Study Iranshahr [PDF]

open access: yesEnvironmental Energy and Economic Research, 2017
In this paper, the El-Hames empirical method was used to determine the peak runoff flow in Iranshahr catchment. The El-Hames method is based on morphological parameters and SCS Curve Number of the studied area.

Incidence and Severity of Carboplatin‐Associated Hearing Loss in Children With Cancer Assessed by the SIOP Boston 2012 Ototoxicity Criteria

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Platinum‐based chemotherapy is known to cause severe and debilitating hearing loss, but unlike cisplatin, the true incidence of carboplatin‐induced hearing loss remains unclear. We evaluated functional hearing outcomes in children receiving carboplatin to determine the incidence and severity of ototoxicity. Procedure We identified a

Re‐Irradiation in Pediatric Diffuse Midline Glioma: A Multi‐Institutional Retrospective Study

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Children with recurrent diffuse midline gliomas (DMGs) have limited therapeutic options at recurrence. Re‐irradiation (RT2) may be used at progression, but with uncertainty about the benefit. Methods We conducted a multi‐institutional retrospective study of children aged < 18 with DMG treated at three centers (Toronto, Canada ...
