On elliptic curves with a closed component passing through a hexagon [PDF]
In general, there exists an ellipse passing through the vertices of a convex pentagon, but any ellipse passing through the vertices of a convex hexagon does not have to exist.

Doorway passing of an intelligent wheelchair by dynamically generating Bézier curve trajectory [PDF]
Door passing is the basic capability of an intelligent wheelchair. This paper presents a novel strategy to address the door passing issue by dynamically generating the Be´zier curve based trajectory. It consists of door finding, optimization based trajectory generation and tracking control, which are executed repeatedly to increase the ability of ...

Formation Mechanism of Metro Rail Corrugation Based on Wheel–Rail Stick–Slip Behaviors
Field investigation shows that most corrugations occur on the inner rail surface of curved tracks with a radius of less than 700 m. In order to explore the formation mechanism of metro corrugation, the relationship between wheel–rail stick–slip ...

Constructive algorithms for forming compound cubic Bezier curves in space and on plane [PDF]
The article considers two graph-analytical algorithms. The first algorithm makes it possible to form a spatial curve passing through given nodal points with direction vectors specified at these points.

The geometry of confocal curves for passing through a door [PDF]
This paper presents a geometric approach to the problem of steering a robot subject to nonholonomic constraints through a door by using only visual measurements coming from a single fixed on-board monocular camera. The door is represented by two landmarks located on its vertical supports.

An approach for minimal surface family passing a curve [PDF]
We investigate minimal surfaces passing a given curve in $R^{3}$. Using the Frenet frame of a given curve and isothermal parameter, we derive the necessary and sufficient condition for minimal surface. Also we derive the parametric representation of two minimal surface families passing a circle and a helix as examples.
