We present a combination of the asymptotic, direct, and numerical methods on the example plane problem of finite deformations of a thin curved strip. The study includes both static and dynamic analyses; the inhomogeneity of the strip is taken into account. The method of asymptotic splitting allows for a consistent dimensional reduction of the equations

Increment Threshold Versus Intensity Curves for Rods
1985The increment threshold versus intensity (t.v.i.) curve for rods was studied using Stiles’ two color threshold technique at 10° temporal retina on two normal observers. The results show that the t.v.i. curves for rods for both observers were shallower than the t.v.i. curves for rods which Stiles (1939) (1) described.

Two curved rods in non-specific vaginitis.
Scandinavian journal of urology and nephrology. Supplementum, 1985Sixteen isolates from the vaginal discharge of women with bacterial vaginosis (non-specific vaginitis) and six provided by other investigators were divided into two groups on the basis of morphology and biochemical tests. Only one organism type was isolated from any one patient.
