ASYMPTOTIC BEHAVIOR OF STRUCTURES MADE OF CURVED RODS [PDF]

open access: yesAnalysis and Applications, 2008
In this paper, we study the asymptotic behavior of a structure made of curved rods of thickness 2δ when δ tends to 0. This study is carried on within the frame of linear elasticity by using the unfolding method. It is based on several decompositions of the structure displacements and on the passing to the limit in fixed domains.

A Practical Noise2Noise Denoising Pipeline for High‐Throughput Raman Spectroscopy

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
A lightweight and reproducible denoising pipeline for high‐throughput Raman spectroscopy is introduced, based on a 1D convolutional autoencoder trained with a Noise2Noise strategy. Using only repeated short‐exposure acquisitions, the method suppresses stochastic noise without reference spectra, enabling reliable spectral reconstruction while preserving

Elastic Properties and Thermal Expansion Behavior of a Polycrystalline VMnFeCoNi High‐Entropy Alloy

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
The high‐entropy alloy (HEA) V20Mn20Fe20Co20Ni20 (composition in at.%) can be made single‐phase face‐centered cubic (FCC) when annealed above 1338 K followed by water quenching. In this state, the alloy exhibits the greatest strength‐ductility combination of any quinary single‐phase FCC HEA.

Intrinsic Photoactive Star ZnPc–Poly(glutamate) Nanoplatforms for Multimodal Glioblastoma Therapy and Brain‐Targeted Delivery

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
An intrinsic photoactive star‐shaped zinc phtalocyanine‐poly(L‐glutamic acid) (ZnPc‐PGA) nanoplatform for multimodal glioblastoma (GBM) therapy and brain‐targeted elivery. A ZnPc‐PGA‐based multifunctional theranostic nanocarrier platform enables image‐guided, multimodal GBM therapy. ZnPc‐PGA nanocarriers support the integration of fluorescence imaging,

Development of a Three‐Axis Planar Hall Magnetoresistance Sensor Using a Superparamagnetic Nanoparticle‐Based Flux Guide

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A printed superparamagnetic nanoparticle‐based flux guide enables the realization of a hysteresis‐free three‐axis magnetic sensor. This innovative architecture efficiently redirects out‐of‐plane fields to planar sensing elements, facilitating simultaneous vector detection without complex reset protocols.

Oriented clonal cell dynamics enables accurate growth and shaping of vertebrate cartilage

open access: yeseLife, 2017
Cartilaginous structures are at the core of embryo growth and shaping before the bone forms. Here we report a novel principle of vertebrate cartilage growth that is based on introducing transversally-oriented clones into pre-existing cartilage.

Structure‐Guided Dynamical Mechanics in Bioinspired Double Twisted Laminated Thin Films

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This work explores a dynamic mechanistic study of crack propagation and puncture testing via real‐time monitoring of crack initiation, propagation, and termination through nature‐inspired single and double twisted architectures fabricated from cellulose nanocrystals.

The Dielectrophoretic Interactions of Curved Particles in a DC Electric Field

open access: yesMicromachines
In practical dielectrophoretic cell interaction experiments, cells do not always exhibit circular or rod-like shapes, making the study of dielectrophoretic interactions among irregularly shaped particles of significant importance.

Support‐Controlled Reaction Pathways via Dynamic Sulfur‐Mediated Interfaces for Selective Urea Electrolysis

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Sulfur‐doped graphitized carbon nanofibers act as adaptive catalyst–support platforms, enabling dynamic sulfur‐mediated reconstruction and strong metal–support interactions. This unique behavior enhances catalyst stability and controls reaction pathways, achieving highly selective urea oxidation (∼92% N2) coupled with efficient hydrogen evolution ...
