Seismic Imaging and Processing with Curvelets
69th EAGE Conference and Exhibition incorporating SPE EUROPEC 2007, 2007In this paper, we present a nonlinear curvelet-based sparsity-promoting formulation for three problems in seismic processing and imaging namely, seismic data regularization from data with large percentages of traces missing; seismic amplitude recovery for subsalt images obtained by reverse-time migration and primary-multiple separation, given an ...

The monogenic curvelet transform
2010 IEEE International Conference on Image Processing, 2010In this article, we reconsider the continuous curvelet transform from a signal processing point of view. We show that the analyzing elements of the curvelet transform, the curvelets, can be understood as analytic signals in the sense of the partial Hilbert transform.

Boon and Bane of Curvelet Transform
2010Candes and Donoho introduced a new system of multiresolution analysis called the curvelet transform. Curvelets take the form of basis elements, which exhibit a very high directional sensitivity and are highly anisotropic. In this paper, we applied the curvelet transform, to generate Tamil OCR, to detect melanoma from microscopic images and to develop a

Uniform Discrete Curvelet Transform
IEEE Transactions on Signal Processing, 2010An implementation of the discrete curvelet transform is proposed in this work. The transform is based on and has the same order of complexity as the Fast Fourier Transform (FFT). The discrete curvelet functions are defined by a parameterized family of smooth windowed functions that satisfies two conditions: i) 2π periodic; ii) their squares form a ...

Searching for the optimal curvelet tiling
2013 IEEE International Conference on Acoustics, Speech and Signal Processing, 2013Curvelets were recently introduced as a popular extension of wavelets. In the curvelet domain the input image is represented by sets of coefficients representing signal energy in different scales and angular directions. In this paper an algorithm that searches for optimal tilings for use with the curvelet transform is introduced.

Cartoon Approximation with α-Curvelets
2014It is well-known that curvelets provide optimal approximations for so-called cartoon images which are defi ned as piecewise C2-functions, separated by a C2 singularity curve. In this paper, we consider the more general case of piecewise Cβ-functions, separated by a Cβ singularity curve for β (1;2].

Quaternionic curvelet transform
Optik, 2017Abstract In this paper, we extend the continuous curvelet transform to the space of quaternion valued functions using convolution. We prove that the quaternionic curvelet transform is consistent with the continuous curvelet transform of complex valued functions.

Seismic imaging in the curvelet domain and its implications for the curvelet design
SEG Technical Program Expanded Abstracts 2006, 2006This paper is a first attempt towards the migration of seismic data in the curvelet domain for heterogeneous background velocity models. We first explain how to build a simple curvelet decomposition/reconstruction code, based on the use of Fast Fourier Transforms (FFTs).

Curvelet Transform for Image Authentication
2006In this paper, we propose a new image authentication algorithm using curvelet transform. In our algorithm, we apply ridgelet transform to each block which is subbanded from the image after wavelet transform. Experimental results demonstrate this algorithm has good property to localize tampering, and robust to JPEG ...
