Boundary snapping for robust image cutouts
2008 IEEE Conference on Computer Vision and Pattern Recognition, 2008Boundary snapping is an interactive image cutout algorithm that requires a small number of user supplied control points, or landmarks, to infer the cutout contour. Analysis of Composite-Reinforced Cutouts and Cracks
AIAA Journal, 1974Finite element computer analyses of the reinforcement of cutouts and cracks in metal sheet by bonded overlays of composite material are described. The analyses articulate the separate responses of the sheet, the overlays, and the adhesive. Contour plots of computed stress and strain fields are automatically generated by the computer programs.

On Reinforced Circular Cutouts
Journal of Applied Mechanics, 1953Abstract A slab with a circular cutout is subjected to stresses in the plane of the slab.
