Arthroscopic Remplissage With Knotless All‐Suture Anchors and Concomitant Bankart Repair: Technical Considerations

open access: yesArthroscopy Techniques, EarlyView.
Abstract Anterior shoulder instability is common in active patients. Traumatic dislocations may produce Bankart and Hill‐Sachs lesions that increase recurrence risk. In high‐demand individuals, isolated Bankart repair may be insufficient for off‐track or near‐track Hill‐Sachs lesions.

Modified Transtibial Pullout Repair for Medial Meniscus Posterior Root Tear Using a Barbed Suture: A Technical Note

open access: yesArthroscopy Techniques, EarlyView.
Abstract This technical note describes a modified transtibial pullout repair for medial meniscus posterior root tear incorporating a barbed suture to improve fixation strength and load distribution. The technique combines 2 simple sutures placed near the torn root with a circumferential barbed suture passed through the posteromedial meniscocapsular ...

Structural Influence of the Cargo Holds of a 3000 m3 Wellboat on a Double-Bottom Floor

open access: yesJournal of Marine Science and Engineering
In order to reduce weight and facilitate maintenance, servicing and inspection, ship structures usually have openings and cutouts. However, these modifications frequently weaken the plates’ ability to buckle.

Self‐Complementary Dimers Based on Zwitterionic Halogen Bond Donors

open access: yesChemistry – A European Journal, EarlyView.
In this study we present the first isolated zwitterionic homodimers based on halogen bonding (XB). After optimization of the structures by changing the Lewis base (LB) and the backbone, their dimerization was observed in gas phase, as well as, in solid state.

Effect of Cutout Orientation on Stress Concentration of Perforated Plates with Various Cutouts and Bluntness

open access: yesInternational Journal of Ocean System Engineering, 2011
Perforated plates with cutouts (or holes) are widely used in structural members. These cutouts provide stress concentration in plates. Extensive studies have been carried out on stress concentration in perforated plates, which consider cutout shapes, boundary conditions, bluntness of cutouts, and more.

All‐inside meniscal repair using polyether ether ketone versus all‐suture anchors: No difference in failure rates at three‐follow‐up in a retrospective cohort of 2253 patients

open access: yesKnee Surgery, Sports Traumatology, Arthroscopy, EarlyView.
Abstract Purpose To compare mid‐term failure rates of next‐generation all‐inside meniscal repair using polyether ether ketone (PEEK) anchors versus all‐suture anchors in a large patient cohort. The null hypothesis was that there would be no difference in failure rates between PEEK and all‐suture anchors.

Bayesian Optimization of Grayscale Patterns for Layer‐Height Accuracy in Projection Multi‐Photon 3D Printing

open access: yesLaser &Photonics Reviews, EarlyView.
Bayesian optimization combined with in situ quantitative phase imaging enables autonomous correction of layer‐height deviations in projection multi‐photon lithography. By jointly tuning model parameters and grayscale exposure settings, the method achieves more uniform and accurate layers within 300 prints, offering a fast, data‐efficient route to ...

INFLUENCE OF FLANGED-CUTOUT ON THE DYNAMIC BEHAVIORS OF A RECTANGULAR PLATE

open access: yesJixie qiangdu, 2015
In practical engineering, punching cutouts on the structure results in forming flanging side simultaneously. This paper focus on the influence of flanged-cutout on the dynamic behaviors of a rectangular plate.

On calculation of ultimate plastic strain near angular cutout

open access: yesVestnik Samarskogo Gosudarstvennogo Tehničeskogo Universiteta. Seriâ: Fiziko-Matematičeskie Nauki, 2007
We consider the approach to the definition of plastic strain near the vertex of angular cutout using the problems of uniaxial tension of cylindrical and plane specimens with angular cutouts as example.
