Dynamic analysis of runout correction in milling [PDF]
Tool runout and its effects is an important area of research within modelling, simulation, and control of milling forces. Tool runout causes tool cutting edges to experience uneven forces during milling.

Four‐point bending tests are conducted in an argon atmosphere on commercial MgO‐C brick grades with and without MgO‐C recyclate from room temperature up to 1300 °C. No detrimental effect of the MgO‐C recyclates on bending strength is found. Instead, a decisive influence of the total carbon content is observed, with lower total carbon contents ...

Best Path Planning Algorithm for Mobile Robot Based on Modified Genetic Algorithm [PDF]
In this paper a best path planning for mobile robot based on modified Genetic algorithm is introduced. The proposed algorithm read the map of the environment which expressed by grid model and then attempts to create an optimal or near optimal collision ...

Removing Oxide Layers and Retaining Oxide‐Free Steel Surfaces by Polishing in Oxygen‐Free Atmosphere
In this study, the efficacy of wet mechanical polishing under an oxygen‐free atmosphere for deoxidation and the retention of an oxide‐free steel surface are elucidated using X‐ray photoelectron spectroscopy. The methodology proved successful; however, the results were highly dependent on the preparation of the solvents used to clean the samples after ...

Machining strategy development in 5-axis milling operations using process models [PDF]
Increased productivity and part quality can be achieved by selecting machining strategies and conditions properly. At one extreme very high speed and feed rate with small depth of cut can be used for high productivity whereas deep cuts accompanied with ...

Rational motivic path spaces and Kim's relative unipotent section conjecture
We initiate a study of path spaces in the nascent context of "motivic dga's", under development in doctoral work by Gabriella Guzman. This enables us to reconstruct the unipotent fundamental group of a pointed scheme from the associated augmented motivic

A Novel Cutter Path Planning Approach to High Speed Machining [PDF]
AbstractHigh speed machining is playing a more and more important role in modern machines shops, in particularly, in aerospace machining, mold and die machining. In high speed milling operations, a path that has the least number of sharp turns is preferred. Spiral curve is a special curve which can have no sharp turn, and the step-over between adjacent

Influence of an Oxygen‐Free Atmosphere on Diamond‐Single‐Grain Scratching of Ti–6Al–4V
Single‐grain scratching of Ti–6Al–4V is investigated under controlled, oxygen‐free, and ambient atmospheres using a novel experimental setup with in situ high‐speed imaging. The approach enables direct observation of chip formation and adhesion under suppressed oxidation.
