A Cutting Plane and Level Stabilization Bundle Method with Inexact Data for Minimizing Nonsmooth Nonconvex Functions

open access: yesAbstract and Applied Analysis, 2014
Under the condition that the values of the objective function and its subgradient are computed approximately, we introduce a cutting plane and level bundle method for minimizing nonsmooth nonconvex functions by combining cutting plane method with the ...

Transcriptional network analysis of PTEN‐protein‐deficient prostate tumors reveals robust stromal reprogramming and signs of senescent paracrine communication

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Combining PTEN protein assessment and transcriptomic profiling of prostate tumors, we uncovered a network enriched in senescence and extracellular matrix (ECM) programs associated with PTEN loss and conserved in a mouse model. We show that PTEN‐deficient cells trigger paracrine remodeling of the surrounding stroma and this information could help ...

Research on High Speed Dry Cutting Technology and Machining Experiment of Small Module Spiral Bevel Gear

open access: yesJixie chuandong, 2021
Traditional small module spiral bevel gear milling needs to use a large number of cutting fluid, which will not only cause environmental pollution, but also increase production costs, the new technology of high speed dry cutting does not use cutting fluid ...

Integer Programming by Cutting Planes Methods

open access: yes, 1973
Linear programming is a relatively new, very important branch of modern mathematics and is about twenty five years old. In this day and age, most planners and decision makers will acknowledge that some linear optimization problems are worth the expense and trouble to solve.

Exploiting metabolic adaptations to overcome dabrafenib treatment resistance in melanoma cells

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We show that dabrafenib‐resistant melanoma cells undergo mitochondrial remodeling, leading to elevated respiration and ROS production balanced by stronger antioxidant defenses. This altered redox state promotes survival despite mitochondrial damage but renders resistant cells highly vulnerable to ROS‐inducing compounds such as PEITC, highlighting redox

Homogeneous analytic center cutting plane methods with approximate centers

open access: yesOptimization Methods and Software, 1999
In this paper we consider a homogeneous analytic center cutting plane method in a projective space. We describe a general scheme that uses a homogeneous oracle and computes an approximate analytic center at each iteration. This technique is applied to a convex feasibility problem, to variational inequalities, and to convex constrained minimization.

ATF4‐mediated stress response as a therapeutic vulnerability in chordoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We screened 5 chordoma cell lines against 100+ inhibitors of epigenetic and metabolic pathways and kinases and identified halofuginone, a tRNA synthetase inhibitor. Mechanistically halofuginone induces an integrated stress response, with eIF2alpha phosphorylation, activation of ATF4 and its target genes CHOP, ASNS, INHBE leading to cell death ...

Developing evidence‐based, cost‐effective P4 cancer medicine for driving innovation in prevention, therapeutics, patient care and reducing healthcare inequalities

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The cancer problem is increasing globally with projections up to the year 2050 showing unfavourable outcomes in terms of incidence and cancer‐related deaths. The main challenges are prevention, improved therapeutics resulting in increased cure rates and enhanced health‐related quality of life.

Cell surface interactome analysis identifies TSPAN4 as a negative regulator of PD‐L1 in melanoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Using cell surface proximity biotinylation, we identified tetraspanin TSPAN4 within the PD‐L1 interactome of melanoma cells. TSPAN4 negatively regulates PD‐L1 expression and lateral mobility by limiting its interaction with CMTM6 and promoting PD‐L1 degradation.
