Plecstatin inhibits hepatocellular carcinoma tumorigenesis and invasion through cytolinker plectin

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The ruthenium‐based metallodrug plecstatin exerts its anticancer effect in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) primarily through selective targeting of plectin. By disrupting plectin‐mediated cytoskeletal organization, plecstatin inhibits anchorage‐dependent growth, cell polarization, and tumor cell dissemination.

Infrared laser sampling of low volumes combined with shotgun lipidomics reveals lipid markers in palatine tonsil carcinoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Nanosecond infrared laser (NIRL) low‐volume sampling combined with shotgun lipidomics uncovers distinct lipidome alterations in oropharyngeal squamous cell carcinoma (OPSCC) of the palatine tonsil. Several lipid species consistently differentiate tumor from healthy tissue, highlighting their potential as diagnostic markers.

Justification of Parameters of a Prismatic Device for Fertiliser Distribution Across the Width of the Sub-Blade Area of a Flat-Cutting Working Body

open access: yesActa Technologica Agriculturae
Subsurface application of mineral fertilisers is an effective agricultural technique that improves both the quantity and quality of cultivated crops. To ensure uniform distribution of granular mineral fertilisers across the width of a tillage working ...

A New Cutting Strategy to Reduce Plasticity Errors in Measuring Welding Residual Stress via the Contour Method

open access: yesJournal of Manufacturing and Materials Processing
The Contour Method is a well-established destructive technique for determining cross-sectional maps of residual stress in manufactured metallic components. The validity of the technique is dependent on linear elastic relaxation of residual strains across

Combining antibody conjugates with cytotoxic and immune‐stimulating payloads maximizes anti‐cancer activity

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Methods to improve antibody–drug conjugate (ADC) treatment durability in cancer therapy are needed. We utilized ADCs and immune‐stimulating antibody conjugates (ISACs), which are made from two non‐competitive antibodies, to enhance the entry of toxic payloads into cancer cells and deliver immunostimulatory agents into immune cells.

An ILP Solver for Multi-label MRFs with Connectivity Constraints

open access: yes, 2017
Integer Linear Programming (ILP) formulations of Markov random fields (MRFs) models with global connectivity priors were investigated previously in computer vision, e.g., \cite{globalinter,globalconn}.

Tumor mutational burden as a determinant of metastatic dissemination patterns

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study performed a comprehensive analysis of genomic data to elucidate whether metastasis in certain organs share genetic characteristics regardless of cancer type. No robust mutational patterns were identified across different metastatic locations and cancer types.

TRAIL‐PEG‐Apt‐PLGA nanosystem as an aptamer‐targeted drug delivery system potential for triple‐negative breast cancer therapy using in vivo mouse model

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Aptamers are used both therapeutically and as targeting agents in cancer treatment. We developed an aptamer‐targeted PLGA–TRAIL nanosystem that exhibited superior therapeutic efficacy in NOD/SCID breast cancer models. This nanosystem represents a novel biotechnological drug candidate for suppressing resistance development in breast cancer.

Cutting plane method in decision analysis

open access: yes, 2004
Several computational decision analysis approaches have been developed over a number of years for solving decision problems when vague and numerically imprecise information prevails. However, the evaluation phases in the DELTA method and similar methods often give rise to special bilinear programming problems, which are time-consuming to solve in an ...
