Structural biology of ferritin nanocages
Ferritin is a conserved iron‐storage protein that sequesters iron as a ferric mineral core within a nanocage, protecting cells from oxidative damage and maintaining iron homeostasis. This review discusses ferritin biology, structure, and function, and highlights recent cryo‐EM studies revealing mechanisms of ferritinophagy, cellular iron uptake, and ...

This study explores salivary RNA for breast cancer (BC) diagnosis, prognosis, and follow‐up. High‐throughput RNA sequencing identified distinct salivary RNA signatures, including novel transcripts, that differentiate BC from healthy controls, characterize histological and molecular subtypes, and indicate lymph node involvement.

Analyzing orthogonal cutting process using SPH method by kinematic cutting tool
In this paper, the orthogonal cutting process is studied using Smooth Particle Hydrodynamic (SPH) method by a kinematic rigid cutting tool and two work-piece material models: perfectly elastic-plastic (EPP) model and Johnson–Cook (JC) model.

Modeling hepatic fibrosis in TP53 knockout iPSC‐derived human liver organoids
This study developed iPSC‐derived human liver organoids with TP53 gene knockout to model human liver fibrosis. These organoids showed elevated myofibroblast activation, early disease markers, and advanced fibrotic hallmarks. The use of profibrotic differentiation medium further amplified the fibrotic signature seen in the organoids.

Training linear ranking SVMs in linearithmic time using red-black trees
We introduce an efficient method for training the linear ranking support vector machine. The method combines cutting plane optimization with red-black tree based approach to subgradient calculations, and has O(m*s+m*log(m)) time complexity, where m is ...

Discussing the Cutting Method of Skew Bevel Bear based on the Tooth Surface Generating Line
The principle of tooth surface generating of skew bevel gear is analyzed about spherical involute, based on the theory that the line which in the plane that is tangent with the base cone of the skew bevel gear roll on the cone surface absolutely, a new ...

Direct method of hierarchical nonlinear optimization - reassessment after 30 years
We consider the optimization problems which may be solved by the direct decomposition method. It is possible when the performance index is a monotone function of other performance indices, which depend on two subsets of decision variables: an individual
