Autoencoder-based Milling Cutting Force Monitoring by Spindle Vibration Signal Detection [PDF]

open access: yes한국정밀공학회지
In machining operations, dynamometers are typically used to directly measure the forces acting on cutting tools. However, their high cost and complex setup restrict their use to laboratory environments, making them unsuitable for real-time monitoring in ...

Surface roughness and cutting force estimation in the CNC turning using artificial neural networks [PDF]

open access: yesManagement Science Letters, 2015
Surface roughness and cutting forces are considered as important factors to determine machinability rate and the quality of product. A number of factors like cutting speed, feed rate, depth of cutting and tool noise radius influence the surface roughness

Analytical estimation of diametral error in turning process considering flexible supports [PDF]

open access: yesMATEC Web of Conferences, 2019
Turning is a fundamental metal cutting process. Diametral accuracy plays a vital role while turning long and slender workpieces. Hence the estimation of diametral error becomes more important for work pieces generally with slenderness ratio greater than ...

Transferrin receptor 1‐mediated iron uptake supports thermogenic activation in human cervical‐derived adipocytes

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
In this study, we found that human cervical‐derived adipocytes maintain intracellular iron level by regulating the expression of iron transport‐related proteins during adrenergic stimulation. Melanotransferrin is predicted to interact with transferrin receptor 1 based on in silico analysis.

Structural insights into an engineered feruloyl esterase with improved MHET degrading properties

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
A feruloyl esterase was engineered to mimic key features of MHETase, enhancing the degradation of PET oligomers. Structural and computational analysis reveal how a point mutation stabilizes the active site and reshapes the binding cleft, expading substrate scope.

Modulation of Homer1 EVH1 domain internal dynamics by putative autism‐associated mutations

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
The putative autism‐associated M65I and S97L variants of the EVH1 domain of the postsynaptic scaffold protein Homer1 do not exhibit substantial changes in their overall structure or partner binding. Both of them, but especially the M65I variant, show altered internal dynamics relative to the wild‐type domain on the μs‐ms timescale, indicated by the ...

Chatter identification in milling of Inconel 625 based on recurrence plot technique and Hilbert vibration decomposition

open access: yesMATEC Web of Conferences, 2018
In the paper a cutting stability in the milling process of nickel based alloy Inconel 625 is analysed. This problem is often considered theoretically, but the theoretical finding do not always agree with experimental results.

Physics-Based Simulation of Soft-Body Deformation Using RGB-D Data

open access: yesSensors, 2022
Providing real-time interaction in an immersive environment has drawn considerable attention in the virtual training fields. Physics-based simulations are suitable for such environments; however, they require the definition and adjustment of coefficients
