Dual-mode half-cut dielectric resonator filters
2009 IEEE MTT-S International Microwave Symposium Digest, 2009This paper shows that it is feasible to realize a quadruple-mode dielectric resonator. A half-cut of this resonator is then shown to support two modes. A new type of dual-mode dielectric resonator filters is introduced, using a cylindrical resonator cut in half along its axis. Center frequency control, intra/inter/input-coupling mechanisms, tuning, and

Dual mode SC-cut crystal oscillator
Proceedings of the 2004 IEEE International Frequency Control Symposium and Exposition, 2004., 2005The simultaneous dual mode oscillation circuit of the 5 MHz 3/sup rd/ overtone SC-cut crystal is designed using mode-selective linear phase crystal filters, for each C and B mode. The perturbable dual mode oscillation has been successfully eliminated over the temperature range from -20/spl deg/ C to +90/spl deg/ C.

Ultrasonic Vibration Assisted Ductile Mode Cutting
2019It has been well known that ultrasonic vibration assisted cutting (UVC) is able to improve the machining performance for various material removal processes. For machining of brittle material, UVC has also been proven useful in improving surface integrity and increasing tool life by significantly increasing critical undeformed chip thickness for ductile-

Theoretical research temperature mode of cutting tool
Proceedings. The 8th Russian-Korean International Symposium on Science and Technology, 2004. KORUS 2004., 2005The non-stationary task of distribution of heat in a plane of a cutter having the form of a rectangular in the size p/spl times/d, is solved, at various intensity of thermal streams formed in a zone of contact of a cutting wedge with a processable material.

Cut-off wavelength measurements for single-mode optical fibers
Applied Optics, 1979A new technique has been proposed for direct measurement of the cut-off wavelength, at which the first higher-order mode disappears. It uses a change of a near-field pattern of a fiber, which is excited by a variable wavelength source. The cut-off wavelength can be measured with +/-5-nm accuracy.
