The Effects of Cutting Speed on Continuous Miner Cutting Performance
Advanced Materials Research, 2010In order to study the effects of cutting speed on a continuous miner cutting performance, set up the equations of Cantilever’s swing speed, draw graph of chips in different swing speed and rotate speed, analysis the effects of them on continuous miner cutting performance. In order to reduce the fluctuation of cutting speed and get large lump coal rate ,

Masking Cuts: A Performative Entanglement
International Review of Qualitative Research, 2022This essay speaks to the vagaries of performing over zoom in the time of COVID arguing that the various materialities in performance intra-act to form a diffractive performative entanglement. Engaging a diffractive methodology, the cutting of my fascia-mask in performance provides an epistemological opening in ongoing sense making of COVID lived ...

High-power laser performance of a-cut and c-cut Yb:LuVO_4 crystals
Optics Letters, 2006We report high-power laser operation that was achieved with a-cut and c-cut Yb:LuVO(4) crystals. Up to 8.3 W of pi-polarized output power was generated from an a-cut, 2 mm uncoated crystal with an optical conversion efficiency of 59%. The highest slope efficiency was 80%.

Wear performance of ceramic cutting tool materials when cutting steel
Journal of Materials Processing Technology, 1991Abstract Some test cycles have been carried out in continuous cutting conditions, employing cutting parameters (feed, depth of cut and cutting speed) chosen following experimental planes and suitable test fields. The wear tests have been carried out on AISI 1040 steel with cutting speeds from 5m/sec to 11m/sec. The silicon nitride, sintered carbide,

PERFORMANCE TEST FOR CUTTING OILS
Scientific Lubrication, 1953A book published by the American Society for Testing Materials, (A Bibliography On Cutting of Metals by O. W. BOSTON) lists over four thousand papers in the field of metal cutting and shows how difficult it is to devise a laboratory performance test for assessing the value of metal cutting fluids.

Feminist Performance: On the Cutting Edge
Canadian Theatre Review, 1985Radicalism is endemic to any discussion of women in the theatre. In what is traditionally a male-dominated art form (every major theatre in Toronto has a male artistic director at its helm), the contribution of women remains relegated to lesser roles, except on the stage where sexism must take second place to the demands of the author’s creation.
