Design and analysis on textured cutting tool
Materials Today: Proceedings, 2022Abstract Cutting tool plays a major role in manufacturing process to reduce cost and machining time. Various number of researches had been conducted to optimize machining process and to find a way to extend the life of the cutting tool. To improve the process quality, the surface texturing is also performed on the cutting tool.

Edge Design for Regrinding Cutting Tool
Applied Mechanics and Materials, 2011Regrinding of wasted cutting tools can recycle resources and decrease manufacturing costs. Influence of relative tool sharpness and tool cutting edge angle on tool edge radius were analyzed. Cutting force and cutting temperature were simulated with FEM on different edge radius.

Modern Cutting Tools and Machine Tool Design
Proceedings of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers, 1948The object of tool research is to reduce the cost of production. The paper describes how the cost of production is determined to a great extent by the rate of feed; and high cutting speeds have been developed in order to give high rates of feed. The changes in machine design which have been brought about by the introduction of carbide tools are ...
