Laser‐Assisted Phase Engineering of 2D MoS2 for Efficient Solution‐Processed Electronics

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Here, local laser‐assisted phase transition from solution‐processed phase‐pure 1T′ to 2H MoS2 is shown to critically depend on the irradiation atmosphere. While processing in air leads to damaged insulating regions, inert conditions yield semiconducting 2H domains, enabling direct field‐effect transistor patterning with optimized lateral 1T′‐2H MoS2 ...

Gas Separation Silica Membranes Prepared by Chemical Vapor Deposition of Methyl-Substituted Silanes

open access: yesMembranes, 2019
The effect on the gas permeance properties and structural morphology of the presence of methyl functional groups in a silica membrane was studied. Membranes were synthesized via chemical vapor deposition (CVD) at 650 °C and atmospheric pressure ...

Tailoring of Optical Properties of Alumina films deposited by High Vacuum CVD (HV-CVD)

open access: yes
The deposition of amorphous alumina (Al2O3) films on four inch wafers with high deposition rate (up to 50 nm/min) by an advanced HV-CVD technique is discussed. Amorphous nature of the films is confirmed by X-ray diffraction.

Kinetic Study of CVD Reaction by Area-Controlled CVD.

open access: yesJOURNAL OF CHEMICAL ENGINEERING OF JAPAN, 2000
A new method for analyzing the kinetics of CVD reactions is proposed using area-controlled CVD. Catalyst particles were set at the dead end of a narrow straight tube. Water vapor generated at the catalyst from H2 and CO2 was fed into the reaction zone to react with TiCl4, which diffused from the opposite side. Then, TiO2 was formed and deposited on the

Ultrathin Li Metal Anodes: Quantitative Design Principles and Manufacturability Across Liquid and Solid‐State Batteries

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Ultrathin lithium metal anodes (≤15 µm) offer a promising route to high‐energy‐density batteries due to their high capacity and low potential. This review presents design principles for ultrathin Li, evaluates fabrication strategies, and discusses challenges in liquid and solid‐state cells.

Ultra‐High‐Throughput Discovery of Multifunctional Polyphenolic Coatings on Droplet Microarrays

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
An ultra‐high‐throughput (UHT) combinatorial strategy enables the miniaturized synthesis and screening of ≈30 000 polyamine‐polyphenolic (PaPp) coatings using droplet microarrays (DMA). This approach reveals hundreds of previously unknown fluorescent, redox‐active, and antibacterial materials, including multifunctional, cell‐compatible surfaces ...
