Dependence of radar parameters on polarization properties of rain for bistatic CW radar

Radio Science, 1987
The scattered electromagnetic field from a collection of raindrops is determined by the coherency matrix. To estimate the polarization of the scattered field from radar measurements a dual channel receiver is required. The echo powers in the main and orthogonal channels and the complex correlation between them are proportional to the elements of the ...

Commercial CW Doppler radar design and application

2017 27th International Conference Radioelektronika (RADIOELEKTRONIKA), 2017
In this paper CW Doppler radar design and application are presented. The impact of a wide antenna main lobe on the received signal is demonstrated, based on the developed received signal model. Then a design of an active antialiasing filter and a signal processing technique using an OS-CFAR algorithm are describe.

Even-odd transformation with application to multi-user CW radars

Proceedings of ISSSTA'95 International Symposium on Spread Spectrum Techniques and Applications, 1999
An even-odd transformation is a linear phase transformation which translates a set of sequences into one, all of whose absolute even and odd correlation functions become the respective absolute odd and even correlation functions of the original set.

Pseudorandom Code Waveform Design for CW Radar

IEEE Transactions on Aerospace and Electronic Systems, 1979
Certain surveillance radar applications require that the transmitted signal be continuous wave (CW) and wide bandwidth to meet range and range-rate resolution, and also performance requirements in clutter, multiple targets, or other interfering environments. Although an unmodulated CW radar is well suited for making range-rate (Doppler) measurements, a

Appendix A: CW Radar Range Equations

2013
The program 'cw.cpp' calculates the range/power levels of FMCW and phase-coded CW radars given either of the parameters. It outputs the range in kilometers or the average power in watts. It is intended as a tool for quick performance evaluation of CW radars.

The Design and Implementation of CW Radar Signal Processing

Applied Mechanics and Materials, 2014
This paper study continuous wave radar data processing algorithm for low altitude detection, it is applied to continuous wave low altitude search radar data terminal, it can realize real-time correlation and track processing for the data of target echo and false alarm false alarm filtering, to get the real targets of track parameters.

H signal for best detection [CW radar]

2002 3rd International Conference on Microwave and Millimeter Wave Technology, 2002. Proceedings. ICMMT 2002., 2003
Good signal form is required in radar applications, especially for the CW case. A new type of signal form, named H signal, is introduced in this paper. The definition and performance of H signals is discussed. A comparison of normal noise and H signal noise shows that H signals may offer better detection performance by 42 dB.

Leakage Rejection in Beam-Switched CW Radars

IRE Transactions on Aeronautical and Navigational Electronics, 1962
This paper is directed to the problem of transmitter-receiver leakage rejection in CW and FMCW radars which employ stepped-scanning antennas. An IF carrier-elimination filter has been devised and analyzed which provides leakage-rejection capabilities limited only by leakage variations during stationary beam positions.
