L_1-distance for additive processes with time-homogeneous Lévy measures [PDF]
We give an explicit bound for the $L_1$-distance between two additive processes of local characteristics $(f_j(\cdot),\sigma^2(\cdot),\nu_j)$, $j = 1,2$. The cases $\sigma =0$ and $\sigma > 0$ are both treated. We allow $\nu_1$ and $\nu_2$ to be equivalent time-homogeneous L\'evy measures, possibly with infinite variation.

Hygromechanical behaviour of CFRP under cyclic humidity loadings [PDF]
Stable lightweight structures are key issues in the design and construction of the LHC high precision particle detectors. This paper presents the results of long term measurements performed on plates manufactured in Carbon Fibre Reinforced Plastics (CFRP)

Research on biodegradable materials has gained significant attention due to increasing environmental awareness. Starch, as a biodegradable polymer readily available from agricultural resources, is a promising candidate for biocomposite production. Starch‐based films, though exhibiting low mechanical strength, can be enhanced using various plasticizers ...

Le cam theory on the comparison of statistical models [PDF]
We recall the main concepts of the Le Cam theory of statistical experiments , especially the notion of Le Cam distance and its properties. We also review classical tools for bounding such a distance before presenting some examples. A proof of the classical equivalence result between density estimation problems and Gaussian white noise models will be ...

FTIR Photoacoustic Spectroscopy Applied to the Curing and Aging of Composites [PDF]
Fourier-transform infrared photoacoustic spectroscopy has been applied to carbonfiber composites to test whether bulk physical properties of the composites could be determined using the near-surface-sensitive photoacoustic approach.

There is an effort to use hydrogen peroxide for recycling carbon fibre from epoxy matrix composites because it is an ecofriendly material, and the related technology is feasible. However, there is little information on the technoeconomic impact of this method, thus whether it is economically better than current techniques.

Recent Applications of Sulfonium Salts in Synthesis and Catalysis
This review summarizes the recent developments on the synthetic applications of sulfonium salts with an emphasis on the description of the operating mechanistic pathways. Abstract The use of sulfonium salts in organic synthesis has experienced a dramatic increase during the last years that can arguably be attributed to three main factors; the ...
