Oil and fat absorbing polymers [PDF]

open access: yes, 1977
A method is described for forming a solid network polymer having a minimal amount of crosslinking for use in absorbing fats and oils. The polymer remains solid at a swelling ratio in oil or fat of at least ten and provides an oil absorption greater than ...

1,2‐Diaza‐1,3‐Dienes as a Multifaceted Synthons for the Synthesis of Heterocycles: A Fifteen‐Years Update

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Organic Chemistry, Volume 27, Issue 44, November 25, 2024.
1,2‐Diaza‐1,3‐butadienes, also called azoalkenes, have received considerable attention as key synthons for constructing various heterocyclic scaffolds. This minireview summarizes the contribution of our group in this field over the period from 2009 to the present, focusing on the role of the azoene building block in forming the heterocyclic structures.

Asymptotic equivalence of discretely observed diffusion processes and their Euler scheme: small variance case [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2014
This paper establishes the global asymptotic equivalence, in the sense of the Le Cam $\Delta$-distance, between scalar diffusion models with unknown drift function and small variance on the one side, and nonparametric autoregressive models on the other side. The time horizon $T$ is kept fixed and both the cases of discrete and continuous observation of

Salt-induced gelation of nonionic sucrose ester dispersions [PDF]

open access: yesJ. Colloid Interface Sci. 2025, 693, 137610
The dispersions of nonionic sucrose ester surfactants in water exhibit a highly negative zeta-potential, though its origin remains controversial. The addition of electrolytes to these dispersions may influence their zeta-potential, thus potentially affecting their physicochemical properties.

Asymptotic equivalence for density estimation and gaussian white noise: An extension [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2015
The aim of this paper is to present an extension of the well-known as-ymptotic equivalence between density estimation experiments and a Gaussian white noise model. Our extension consists in enlarging the nonparametric class of the admissible densities.

Development of resins for composites by resin transfer molding [PDF]

open access: yes
Designed to cover a wide range of resin technology and to meet the near-term and long-term needs of the aircraft industry, this research has three objectives: to produce resin transfer molding (RES) resins with improved processability, to produce prepreg

Acceleration effect of ionic liquids on polycyclotrimerization of dicyanate esters

open access: yeseXPRESS Polymer Letters, 2016
The polycyclotrimerization reaction of dicyanate ester of bisphenol E (DCBE) in the presence of varying amounts (from 0.5 to 5 wt%) of 1-octyl-3-methylimidazolium tetrafluoroborate ([OMIm][BF4]) ionic liquid has been investigated using differential ...

Wasserstein and total variation distance between marginals of Lévy processes [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2017
We present upper bounds for the Wasserstein distance of order $p$ between the marginals of L\'evy processes, including Gaussian approximations for jumps of infinite activity. Using the convolution structure, we further derive upper bounds for the total variation distance between the marginals of L\'evy processes.

Synthesis of improved phenolic and polyester resins [PDF]

open access: yes
Thirty-seven cured phenolic resin compositions were prepared and tested for their ability to provide improved char residues and moisture resistance over state of the art epoxy resin composite matrices.
