ABSTRACT This perspective review examines the evolving role of neonatal peripherally inserted central catheters (n‐PICCs) as a distinct subspecialty within neonatal vascular access. n‐PICCs are indispensable for delivering long‐term intravenous therapies in critically ill neonates.
