Refinement of amino‐acid conformation vs. difference density maps in time‐resolved serial femtosecond crystallography data analysis

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
The dFoCC pipeline starts with observed DED and resting‐state coordinates, which are then used to generate a library of triggered states. Correlation analysis of the calculated DED features of each candidate vs observed DED permits quantitative evaluation of candidate structural quality.

Bounds for certain cyclic an-codes

open access: yesInformation and Control, 1973
For an odd integer B 0 mod(3) and for a cyclotomic coset C of integers modulo B having the property: if r ε C, then B — r ε C; the number of integers which belong to C and to the half-open interval (B/3, 2B/3 is lower bounded. This result is then used to obtain a lower bound on the minimum arithmetic distance of a cyclic AN-code with generator A and ...

Coding Theory Group [PDF]

open access: yes, 2008
We characterize several classes of cyclic codes of length 2m \Gamma 1 which have minimum distance three. We are mainly interested in codes with generator mi(x)mj(x), but we also treat the cases when the generator polynomial is a product of several (or ...

Pharmacological inhibition of the PERK pathway modulates hepatocellular carcinoma growth and immune signaling

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Pharmacological inhibition of PERK in a DEN‐induced mouse model of liver cancer does not reduce tumor burden but alters cellular stress signaling. Despite blocking PERK activity, downstream stress responses, including CHOP expression, remain active, suggesting compensatory mechanisms within the unfolded protein response that may influence tumor ...

FpRS-Additive Cyclic Codes are Asymptotically Good

open access: yesIEEE Access
In coding theory, the rate and the relative minimum distance are two important invariants to assess a family of codes’ asymptotic characteristics.

Cyclically permutable codes.

open access: yes, 1997
A cyclically permutable code is a set of codewords having the property that no codeword is a cyclic shift of another codeword. We study the problem of constructing cyclically permutable codes of large size and low correlation. Cyclically permutable codes are used in code-division multiple-access systems realized by e.g.

Cyclic error-locating codes

open access: yesInformation and Control, 1967
A new class of error-locating codes, which are equivalent to cyclic codes, is presented, together with a general decoding procedure. Connections with some previously considered error-locating codes are pointed out.

Early‐life high‐fat diet exposure increases Achilles tendon stiffness and induces transcriptomic alterations

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Early‐life exposure to a high‐fat diet altered intact Achilles tendons in rat offspring, making them thinner, stiffer, and molecularly distinct even without injury. These findings suggest that developmental high‐fat diet exposure may impair tendon quality and increase susceptibility to mechanical overload or tendon injury later in life.

Cyclic Codes over a Non-Commutative Non-Unital Ring

open access: yesMathematics
In this paper, we investigate cyclic codes over the ring E of order 4 and characteristic 2 defined by generators and relations as E=⟨a,b∣2a=2b=0,a2=a,b2=b,ab=a,ba=b⟩. This is the first time that cyclic codes over the ring E are studied.

RoundMi: A quantitative method to analyze mitochondrial morphology in mitotic cells

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
RoundMi is a workflow for rapid analysis of mitochondrial morphology in mitotic cells. By combining adaptive preprocessing with automated segmentation and quantification, it enables accurate measurements from single focal plane images, reducing acquisition time and computational demands while remaining compatible with high‐throughput fixed and live ...
