Full C-Band 3060-km DMD-Unmanaged 3-Mode Transmission with 40.2-Tb/s Capacity using Cyclic Mode Permutation

Optical Fiber Communications Conference and Exhibition, 2019
We demonstrate the longest three mode-multiplexed full C-band transmission over 3060 km. The cyclic mode permutation technique enabled DMD-unmanaged transmission across 4.4-THz optical bandwidth over FMF having DMD of > 33.7 ps/km.

New cyclically permutable codes

2011 IEEE Information Theory Workshop, 2011
A cyclically permutable code is a binary code the codewords of which are cyclically distinct and have full cyclic order. The purpose of this paper is to construct cyclically permutable codes by means of linear p-ary constacyclic codes, where p denotes a prime number.

Cyclical functions and permutation matrices

Journal of the Franklin Institute, 1969
Abstract Cyclical functions are an extension of the concept of hyperbolic functions. These functions have many interesting and important properties. This paper develops the theory of these functions from a novel point of view by using the properties of permutation matrices. The connection between cyclical functions and the matrix exponential function

The Anticipatory Control of a Cyclically Permutable Memory

IEEE Transactions on Computers, 1973
A control method based on anticipatory shift with lookahead is proposed for accessing files stored in a cyclically permutable memory as characterized by, for example, bubble-domain devices. The performance of this method is analyzed and is shown to yield significant reduction of access time.

Encoding and Decoding for Cyclic Permutation Codes

IEEE Transactions on Electronic Computers, 1962
Maximum-likelihood encoding and decoding procedures are presented for cyclic permutation error-correcting codes. These procedures take advantage of the cyclic permutation structure, and are applicable to all such codes. On the other hand, familiar parity-checking procedures are applicable only to those few cyclic permutation codes which are group codes.

Bases for Coinvariants and Cyclic Permutations

2010
28.1.1. In this chapter we assume that (I, ·) is of finite type. Let \(\lambda \in X^ + \). For any sequence i = (i1,i 2 ,…, i N ) in I such that \({\rm{s}}_{i_1 } {\rm{s}}_{i_2 } \cdots {\rm{s}}_{i_N } \) is a reduced expression of an element w\( \in \)W, we consider the element \(\theta {\rm{(i,}}\,\lambda {\rm{)}}\,{\rm{ = }}\theta _{i_1 }^{(a_1 )} \
