A large‐area stretchable accelerometer array enables multi‐point monitoring of chest compression depth and thoracic contour reconstruction during CPR, offering high spatiotemporal resolution for dynamic deformation tracking and providing a new pathway toward intelligent, feedback‐based resuscitation systems. ABSTRACT High‐quality chest compressions are

Anisotropy and cyclic loading characteristics of a stiff Bolders Bank glacial till at Cowden [PDF]
Glacial tills are widespread across the world, common in northern Europe and found under the North and Baltic Seas. Their geological and geotechnical characterisation is important to the geotechnical design of a wide range of onshore and offshore ...

Effects of grain size distribution on the initial strain shear modulus of calcareous sand [PDF]
The soil’s small strain shear modulus, Gmax or G0, is applied in dynamic behavior analyses and is correlated to other soil properties (density and void ratio) for predicting soil dynamic behavior under seismic loadings such as earthquakes, machinery or ...

Abstract Background Adolescence is marked by increased vulnerability to sleep disturbances and mood disorders. Understanding how day‐to‐day changes in sleep and mood are linked within the same individual is crucial for clarifying sleep's role in emerging internalizing disorders. However, the extent to which an adolescent's fluctuations in sleep predict

CYCLIC STRENGTHS OF CLAY AND SAND BY STRAIN RATE CONTROLLED CYCLIC TRIAXIAL TEST

A Peridynamic Framework for Modeling Progressive Failure in Porous Sandstone Indentation
ABSTRACT A state‐based peridynamic model is proposed to simulate the failure mechanisms in porous rocks, using Bentheim sandstone as a specific example. Experimental observations reveal a transition from brittle to ductile failure under increasing triaxial compression. This behavior is attributed to pore compaction. The peridynamic model is enhanced to

The influence of changes in water content on the electrical resistivity of a natural unsaturated loess [PDF]
Non-destructive methods of measuring water content in soils have been extensively developed in the last decades, especially in soil science. Among these methods, the measurements based on the electrical resistivity are simple and reliable thanks to the ...

ABSTRACT Saturated high plasticity clays show complex nonlinear, rate‐dependent, and hysteresis behaviors under non‐monotonic stress paths, requiring advanced mathematical constitutive equations for accurate description. Taking into account the inherent advantages of kinematic hardening mechanisms in simulating complex stress histories, this paper ...

A damage-plasticity model for the dynamic failure of concrete
A constitutive model based on the combination of damage mechanics and plasticity is developed to analyse concrete structures subjected to dynamic loading. The aim is to obtain a model, which requires input parameters with clear physical meanings.
