Electropolymerization of phenol on a vitreous carbon electrode in alkaline aqueous solution at different temperatures [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
Electrochemical oxidation of phenol in basic aqueous solution has been studied on a vitreous carbon electrode at different temperatures in the range of 25–85 °C by cyclic voltammetry and chronoamperometry techniques.

Removing Homocoupling Defects in Alkoxy/Alkyl‐PBTTT Enhances Polymer:Fullerene Co‐Crystal Formation and Stability

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
PBTTT‐OR‐R, a C14‐alkoxy/alkyl‐PBTTT polymer derivative, is of substantial interest for optoelectronics due to its specific fullerene intercalation behavior and enhanced charge‐transfer absorption. Comparing this polymer with (S) and without (O) homocoupling defects reveals that PBTTT‐OR‐R(O) forms stable co‐crystals with PC61BM, while PBTTT‐OR‐R(S ...

Determination of 2,4,6-Trichloroanisole by Cyclic Voltammetry

open access: yesProcedia Engineering, 2012
AbstractThe electrochemical reduction of 2,4,6-trichloroanisole (TCA), a chlorinated arene with electron-donating substituents, was evaluated by cyclic voltammetry (CV). TCA is a major concern for the winery industry since it is related with “cork taint”, a wine defect.

The Electrochemical Oxidation of Organic Selenides and Selenoxides [PDF]

open access: yes, 1997
The electrochemical oxidation of alkyl and aryl selenides was investigated in acetonitrile. The oxidation of diphenyl selenide and di(4‐methylphenyl) selenide led primarily to the formation of their respective selenoxides, which were identified by ...

Electrochemical behaviour of thorium(IV) in molten LiF–CaF2 medium on inert and reactive electrodes [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
The electrochemicalbehaviour of the Th(IV)/Th system was examined in moltenLiF–CaF2medium on inert (molybdenum), reactive (nickel) and liquid (bismuth) electrodes in the 810–920 °C temperature range by several electrochemical techniques.

Ionic Liquid‐Based Reversible Metal Electrodeposition for Adaptive Radiative Thermoregulation Under Extreme Environments

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A wideband tunable electrochromic device with dynamic thermal emissivity control is demonstrated. The system enables adaptive heat regulation via electrochemically modulated silver deposition, achieving efficient cooling and heating states. The flexible design ensures mechanical robustness under bending conditions, making it promising for portable and ...

Electrochemistry and Spectroelectrochemistry of 1,4-Dinitrobenzene in Acetonitrile and Room-Temperature Ionic Liquids: Ion-Pairing Effects in Mixed Solvents [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
Room-temperature ionic liquids (RTILs) have been shown to have a significant effect on the redox potentials of compounds such as 1,4-dinitrobenzene (DNB), which can be reduced in two one-electron steps.

Electrocarboxylation of chloroacetonitrile by a Cobalt(I) complex of terpyridine [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
The electrocarboxylation of chloroacetonitrile (NC–CH2–ClRCl) mediated by [CoIIL2]2+ (L = terpyridine) was investigated by cyclic voltammetry. Electrochemical studies under argon atmosphere showed that the monoelectronic reduction of [CoIIL2]2+ yielded a

Switching From Acceptor to FRET Donor: How the Organic Solar Cell Architecture Can Change the Role of a Chromophore

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
The non‐fullerene acceptor o‐IDT‐BT‐DCV is used in both binary and ternary blends to investigate the role that it plays in each device architecture. The charge generation pathways are found to differ between the binary and ternary blends with o‐IDT‐BT‐DCV becoming a second donor in the ternary blend.
