Cyclic AMP and cyclic GMP in hyperresponsiveness
Life Sciences, 1988Cyclic-AMP has been shown to cause a hyperresponse in blood pressure change in conjunction with norepinephrine in the anesthetized rat system. Recent experiments show that the antagonist to angiotensin II, Sar1-Thr8 angiotensin II, abolishes the hyperresponse produced by c-AMP.

Cyclicity and conversion to cyclicity
International Journal of Control, 1975Abstract Various equivalent definitions of cyclicity are given. The problem of converting a non-cyclic system to a cyclic one, by means of constant output feedback, is considered, This problem arises as an intermediate problem in many state or output feedback pole-assignment algorithms. It is shown that the problem has an infinite number of solutions.

Embedding of a Cyclic Extension into a Cyclic Extension
Journal of Mathematical Sciences, 2002Let \(k\) be a field, \(K/k\) be cyclic of order \(m\), and let \(n\) be a multiple of \(m\). The extension \(K/k\) is called \(n\)-embeddable if there exists a cyclic extension \(L/k\) such that \([L:k]=n\) and \(K\subseteq L\). The author gives necessary and sufficient conditions for \(K/k\) to be \(2^s\)-embeddable in the case \([K:k]=2\), \(\text ...

“Cyclical assets” and cyclical capitalization
Journal of European Real Estate Research, 2019PurposeThe purpose of this study is providing a possible methodological solution to the valuation of cyclical.assets. International Valuation Standards introduce a brand new definition of property: the cyclical asset (International Valuation Standards Council 2017, IVS 105, p. 39 and p. 41).

We have observed 27 migraineurs whose headaches occurred in groups separated by headache-free periods. Twenty-one of the patients were women. The headaches occurred on either side in most patients. The headaches were severe lasting for an average of 25.5 hours, often preceded by scintillating scotomas, and often associated with nausea, vomiting, and ...

Cyclic and Non-Cyclic Aspects of Erosion
Science, 1936Geology has always centered around an effort to decipher records. Until 50 years ago these records were almost exclusively those of the constructional processes, conspicuously those made by sedimentation. Erosion has always been a great destroyer of records.

A chapter on "Cyclic AMP and Drug Action" has already been published in Annual Review of Pharmacology (1). In spite of its restrictive title, this paper covered most of the knowledge about the biochemical and biological effects of cAMP that was available in 1969.

RECURRENT vomiting in children has always been a difficult problem for diagnosis and treatment. The syndrome termed "cyclic vomiting", defined by Gee in 1882 as recurrent bouts of unexplained vomiting in children, has lacked careful documentation of clinical course and eventual prognosis. The report by Hoyt and Stickler on cyclic vomiting in this issue

Cyclic degree and cyclic coloring of 3‐polytopes
Journal of Graph Theory, 1996Let \(G\) be a 2-connected plane graph. A cyclic colouring of \(G\) is a vertex-colouring of \(G\) such that all the vertices of every face-bounding cycle of \(G\) receive distinct colours. The minimum number of colours used in a cyclic colouring of \(G\) is called the cyclic chromatic number of \(G\) and is denoted by \(\chi_c(G)\). Let \(\Delta_f(G)\)
