Some chromium(III) complexes of cyclohexanone semicarbazone and cyclohexanone thiosemicarbazone

Journal of Inorganic and Nuclear Chemistry, 1980
Chromium(III) complexes of cyclohexanone semicarbazone and cyclohexanone thiosemicarbazone have been prepared and characterized. Complexes of general composition Cr(ligand)2X3 are obtained (X = Cl or NO3). Magnetic moments, electronic spectra and ESR spectra of the complexes are discussed.

Spectrophotometric determination of selenium with cyclohexanone

Talanta, 1969
Selenium (2-100 mug) can be determined directly in the aqueous phase by formation of the ketone-chloro complex with cyclohexanone in ~7M hydrochloric acid from either selenium(IV) or selenium(VI), the reaction being brought to completion by heating for 5 min in a boiling water-bath.

Conversion of Simple Cyclohexanones into Catechols

Journal of the American Chemical Society, 2016
A novel I2-catalyzed direct conversion of cyclohexanones to substituted catechols under mild and simple conditions has been described. This novel transformation is remarkable with the multiple oxygenation and dehydrogenative aromatization processes enabled just by using DMSO as the solvent, oxidant, and oxygen source.

Thermodynamic Properties for 2-(1‘-Hydroxycyclohexyl)cyclohexanone and Equilibrium of Dimerization of Cyclohexanone

Journal of Chemical & Engineering Data, 2005
Thermodynamic properties of 2-(1‘-hydroxycyclohexyl)cyclohexanone (ketol) are reported. The investigated compound is a byproduct from the caprolactam manufacture. The heat capacity of ketol was measured by vacuum adiabatic calorimetry (T = 5 K to T = 310 K) and by differential scanning calorimetry (T = 294 K to T = 370 K). The fusion temperature Tfus =

Asymmetric oxidation of sulfides by cyclohexanone monooxygenase

Tetrahedron: Asymmetry, 1993
Abstract Cyclohexanone monooxygenase catalyzes the asymmetric oxidazion of numerous alkyl aryl sulfides with the alkyl chain functionalyzed with Cl, CN, vinyl or hydroxy groups. Sulfoxides with enantiomeric excesses up to 99% were obtained. The structure of the sulfide markedly influenced enzyme enantioselectivity.

CYCLOHEXANONE-BENZIL

Canadian Journal of Research, 1931
In the presence of a small amount of sodium methylate, cyclohexanone and benzil form an addition product, which is a "semicyclic" 1:4-diketone. No derivatives of a bicyclic cyclo-heptane were found. Its most conspicuous chemical property is its sensitivity to mineral acids; among the reaction products is found a diphenyltetrahydrocumarone.

Ammoximation of cyclohexanone to cyclohexanone oxime using ammonium chloride as nitrogen source

Chemical Engineering Science, 2016
A novel process was designed for synthesis of cyclohexanone oxime using ammonium chloride as nitrogen source. Various reaction parameters were optimized such as the amount of ammonium chloride, catalyst and H2O2, reaction temperature, reaction time. Under the suitable reaction conditions, nearly 100% of conversion of cyclohexanone and 100% selectivity ...
