Intraocular Cyclophotocoagulation
Archives of Ophthalmology, 1985Intraocular cyclophotocoagulation with endoscopic visualization, following lensectomy and anterior vitrectomy, was performed on 14 eyes of eight rhesus monkeys. Two eyes received lensectomy and vitrectomy without laser treatment. One eye of each animal was studied one to eight months postoperatively, while the contralateral eyes were enucleated for ...

Purpose: Among the options for surgical management of pediatric glaucoma, destruction of the ciliary body reduces aqueous production and, consequently, intraocular pressure (IOP). Compared to more invasive filtering and shunt procedures, cyclodestruction is an attractive option for control of IOP in pediatric glaucomas.

Efficacy of Micropulse Laser Cyclophotocoagulation Therapy in Primary Angle Closure Glaucoma
Journal of glaucoma, 2023Précis: In primary angle closure glaucoma (PACG), micropulse cyclophotocoagulation resulted in a significant reduction in intraocular pressure (IOP), and the number of antiglaucoma medications without any sight-threatening complications. However, the IOP

Phthisis After Endoscopic Cyclophotocoagulation
Ophthalmic Surgery, Lasers and Imaging Retina, 2008A 47-year-old man was treated with one session of endoscopic cyclophotocoagulation for uncontrolled, elevated intraocular pressure. Before treatment, the eye was quiet and uninflamed. Pretreatment visual acuity was 4/200 and the intraocular pressure was 24 mm Hg. Treatment was applied to the ciliary processes for nearly 360°.

Long-Term Results of Transscleral Diode Laser Cyclophotocoagulation in Glaucoma: A Real-Life Study
Journal of glaucoma, 2023Précis: Transscleral diode laser cyclophotocoagulation (TDLC) is effective and safe in a large population and different types of glaucoma but is least effective in the neovascular glaucoma (NVG) group.

Endoscopic cyclophotocoagulation for the treatment of glaucoma
Survey of Ophthalmology, 2017Endoscopic cyclophotocoagulation is laser treatment of the ciliary processes with direct visualization using a small video camera for the purpose of lowering intraocular pressure. It was traditionally reserved for management of refractory glaucoma, but is now increasingly used as an adjunct to cataract surgery in less-advanced glaucoma. Here we present
