Cycloplegic Refractions of Premature Infants

American Journal of Ophthalmology, 1981
Cyclopentolate refractions of 146 premature infants disclosed higher incidences of myopia and anisometropia than those reported for full-term infants. Also, more than 70% of the premature infants had I diopter or more of astigmatism; 83% of the astigmatism was against-the-rule.

COMPARISON OF CYCLOPLEGIC AND NON-CYCLOPLEGIC REFRACTIONS OF ESKIMOS

Optometry and Vision Science, 1971
A cycloplegic and non-cycloplegic refraction was obtained on 946 eyes of 213 male subjects and 291 female Eskimos between 6 and 88 years old. When the results obtained are compared with those obtained on white subjects by Bannon, good agreement is found between the two studies in the case of the hypermetropic subjects but relatively poor agreement is ...
