Sifting environmental DNA metabarcoding data sets for rapid reconstruction of marine food webs
Abstract Marine ecosystems are changing rapidly due to ocean warming, overfishing and a raft of other anthropogenic impacts. Such changes are expected to disrupt productivity dynamics and alter marine food webs, with likely negative consequences for ecosystem services.

Map of the 84 sampling sites. Detailed map of the 84 sampling sites in Estuary and Gulf of St. Lawrence (EGSL). Red circles represent stations where trawling and eDNA sampling were done simultaneously only at bottom (n = 54). Green circles represent stations where trawling and eDNA sampling were done simultaneously at bottom and where eDNA sampling was

Cleaner fish in aquaculture: review on diseases and vaccination
Abstract Combating and controlling sea lice causes large economic costs for the farmers, with estimated values of more than 305 million euros (€) per year. Increased resistance against traditional chemotherapeutants due to evolutionary drivers in the sea lice combined with the lack of an effective vaccine and few other chemical treatments available are

Towards sustainable water disinfection with peracetic acid in aquaculture: A review
Abstract Peracetic acid (PAA) has a long history as an efficacious and eco‐friendly disinfectant. It was first synthesised in 1902, and since then a wide range of applications has been developed in various industries. Aquaculture is a more recent industry wherein the potential of PAA is significant.

Inactivated Aeromonas salmonicida impairs adaptive immunity in lumpfish (Cyclopterus lumpus)
Abstract Aeromonas salmonicida, a widely distributed aquatic pathogen causing furunculosis in fish, exhibits varied virulence, posing challenges in infectious disease and immunity studies, notably in vaccine efficacy assessment. Lumpfish (Cyclopterus lumpus) has become a valuable model for marine pathogenesis studies.
