Multiplex Modular Nanorobotic Systems with Catalytic Activity under Magnetic Navigation

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
We present modular nanorobots composed of a magnetic propulsion module and different extension modules carrying functional activities, assembled via DNA base pairing. The system integrates propulsion, optical tracking, enzymatic catalysis, and cell docking in a programmable manner.

Intrinsic Photoactive Star ZnPc–Poly(glutamate) Nanoplatforms for Multimodal Glioblastoma Therapy and Brain‐Targeted Delivery

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
An intrinsic photoactive star‐shaped zinc phtalocyanine‐poly(L‐glutamic acid) (ZnPc‐PGA) nanoplatform for multimodal glioblastoma (GBM) therapy and brain‐targeted elivery. A ZnPc‐PGA‐based multifunctional theranostic nanocarrier platform enables image‐guided, multimodal GBM therapy. ZnPc‐PGA nanocarriers support the integration of fluorescence imaging,

Computation of unsteady momentum and heat transfer from a fixed circular cylinder in laminar flow

open access: yes, 2003
This paper presents a finite difference solution for 2D, low Reynolds number, unsteady flow around and heat transfer from a stationary circular cylinder placed in a uniform flow. The fluid is assumed to be incompressible and of constant property.

Design Strategies and Emerging Applications of High‐Performance Flexible Piezoresistive Pressure Sensors

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Flexible piezoresistive pressure sensors underpin wearable and soft electronics. This review links sensing physics, including contact resistance modulation, quantum tunneling and percolation, to unified materials/structure design. We highlight composite and graded architectures, interfacial/porous engineering, and microstructured 3D conductive networks

Dynamic response of a cylinder-plate-cylinder system coupling wake-induced and interference effects

open access: yes
This study proposes a flow-induced vibration (FIV) configuration consisting of two transversely oscillating cylinders with a square plate positioned between them (cylinder–plate–cylinder, C-P-C system) to investigate the coupling between wake-induced and

The scenario of two-dimensional instabilities of the cylinder wake under EHD forcing: A linear stability analysis

open access: yes, 2011
We propose to study the stability properties of an air flow wake forced by a dielectric barrier discharge (DBD) actuator, which is a type of electrohydrodynamic (EHD) actuator.

A Non‐Reciprocal Architected Porous Medium

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT In several fluid flow, energy‐dumping, and energy‐harvesting applications, a dominant flow direction or dominant resistance direction is desirable. In this study, we propose a simple modular geometry that doubles flow resistance in one direction relative to the opposite direction, while maintaining laminar viscous flow.

Comparison of a grid-based CFD method and vortex dynamics predictions of low Reynolds number cylinder flow

open access: yes, 2006
Computational fluid dynamics models range from the finite difference type grid-based method to the Lagrangian style vortex cloud simulation technique for solving the Navier-Stokes equations.

Light‐Actuated Fiber‐Climbing Inchworm Robot Toward Endoluminal Navigation

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A kirigami‐inspired soft inchworm robot harnesses optical energy from a customized side‐emitting optical fiber, guaranteeing its propulsion along the fiber body. The wavelength‐selective responsiveness of dye‐functionalized liquid crystal elastomers and the application of temporal illumination patterns enable sequential control of robot components. The
