Reconstruction of the Antenna Near-Field [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
Cílem disertační práce je navrhnout efektivně pracující algoritmus, který na základě bezfázového měření v blízkém poli antény bude schopen zrekonstruovat komplexní blízké pole antény resp. vyzařovací diagram antény ve vzdáleném poli.

Optical control of photon tunneling through an array of nanometer scale cylindrical channels

open access: yes, 2002
We report first observation of photon tunneling gated by light at a different wavelength in an artificially created array of nanometer scale cylindrical channels in a thick gold film.

External Reflection From Two‐Photon Laser‐Printed Micromirrors Enables Photomechanical Actuation at a 90° Incident Angle

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Light reflectance increases along incidence angle and transmittance significantly drops around 90‐degree incidence angle. Here, we report two‐photon laser printed micro mirrors that redirect the skimming light beam into normal light absorption. Using this technique, light‐driven micro walkers and grippers are demonstrated by using grazing incidence ...

Bio‐Inspired Magnetically Tunable Structural Colors from Elliptical Self‐Assembled Block Copolymer Microparticles

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Cephalopod‐inspired photonic microparticles with dynamic structural coloration are fabricated via confined self‐assembly of linear block copolymers into ellipsoids containing stacked lamellae. Embedded superparamagnetic nanoparticles enable rapid magnetic alignment, restoring vivid, angle‐dependent color.

An Efficient 2-D DOA Estimation for a Cylindrical Conformal Array with Unknown Mutual Coupling

open access: yesInternational Journal of Antennas and Propagation, 2018
The limited space of a conformal array may lead to a serious mutual coupling effect, which will significantly affect the performance of direction of arrival (DOA) estimation algorithms.

Acoustic propagation over periodic and quasi-periodic rough surfaces [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
Transport noise is an ever present concern in urban areas affecting the quality of life for millions of people. The traditional noise barrier is not always a convenient method of noise control and can divide communities.

Quantum walks on two kinds of two-dimensional models

open access: yes, 2015
In this paper, we numerically study quantum walks on two kinds of two-dimensional graphs: cylindrical strip and Mobius strip. The two kinds of graphs are typical two-dimensional topological graph.

Two‐Way Shape Memory Alloy and Polymer Composite Hybrid Smart Actuator With High Speed, Accuracy, and Reversible Deformation

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Tailored thermo‐mechanical properties of shape memory polymer composites enable large reversible deformation as well as high actuation speed. Moreover, a structural design with curvature in the transverse direction achieves sub‐second actuation on heating and a larger recovery ratio on cooling. Finally, these newly developed smart two‐way actuators can
